印度中央邦的一名11岁女孩据说在过去两周中每天都从眼中流出35到40个小“棉花团”，当地村民以为她受到鬼怪附身，非常害怕，因此避而远之。
小女孩名叫玛那西（Manasi），从8月25日开始就每天从泪腺中流出棉花状的物质。
而她的父母由于非常迷信，到现在都没有带她去看眼科医生。
村中的医生听闻此事后，专门来看了玛那西的“棉花泪”。
不过由于这种症状实在太过奇怪，医生也只能推荐她尽快找专业的眼科医生进行诊断。
报道此事的印度报纸就这些症状请教了多位眼科专家。
贾巴尔普尔医科大学（Medical College in Jabalpur）院长纳福尼特·萨希纳博士（Dr. Navneet Saxena）表示，这种症状可能是由过敏反应造成的：眼部过敏的病人可能会从泪腺中流出白色的絮状分泌物，如果干燥则可能会像棉花。

Kamal Ji I don't get time to post all what I see, click and learn about
China and the Chinese. Unlike us they are very warm and affectionate and
receptive to foreigners. They come forward to meet you and great you. They
are simple, shy but very sincere, hard working and down to earth people.

卑诗大学入学变革 不再局限高中成绩 有专长也可
卑诗省每年申请大学入学竞争激烈，近年来卑诗大学(UBC)与西门菲沙大学(SFU)等名校
的入学门槛愈来愈高，某些热门科系平均入学成绩高达90几分，让不少学生望门兴叹，
连申请的勇气都没有。不过卑诗大学(UBC)表示，今年有些学系评估学生不再局限学业
成绩，还要包括其他方面，明年起将全面实施。 UBC负责新生注册的助理副校长芮吉(
James Ridge)表示，今年温哥华校区所有直升课程都提供申请人递交个人小档案(
personal profile)的机会，总计有2500名新生是因为具有很强的个人小档案获得录取
，而非高中成绩优异。
他预计，明年起所有学院将全面采用个人小档案做为入学的甄选标准之一，不再局限高
中学科成绩，相信明年因其他方面表现优异而被录取的新生人数将大幅增加。
卑诗大学不再仅凭学生成绩做为入学依据，今年录取的新生有2500人是其他领域表现优
异。
但芮吉强调，纵使其他方面表现杰出，学生的学业成绩也不能差太多，因为UBC温哥华
