and TOEFL is 86. But for some reason his GPA is pretty low 2.97.
I was told the GPA min requirement for graduate school is generally 3.0. I
am looking for suggestions how I can help him to get enrolled. His major is
Finance. Will third party certificate help in his case?

父母来美两次，都按时回国。侄子（我哥的小孩）小学毕业，利用暑假来玩。08年我爸
妈曾经带他去签过一次，因为不明原因被拒，现在想想可能一来当时的签证没有现在容
易，二来有些材料没有准备，比如家长委托书。
过程：
他们是下午４点１５分的签证预约。签证官是五十多岁白人大叔。排在他们之前的是一
个中年男性及他的父母，三人不知为何被拒，弄得我妈有点紧张。轮到他们以后，我妈
主动和他打招呼，小侄也说“叔叔好”。大叔笑了笑，我妈感觉气氛一下子缓和了很多
。开始他问了我妈几个简单的问题，然后就和小侄做了一些聊天式的对话，除了问我，
我爸妈的名字及和他的关系外，也问他在学校的成绩如何，喜欢什么运动，想去哪里玩
。小侄回答的都很流利，唯一没有答出来的是我博士的专业，他就说不知道。最后大叔
说“你们拿到签证了，开心地去玩吧。”总体来讲是一个很轻松的氛围，签证官也通过
问答确认了签证申请的真实性。他只要了护照，我们准备的材料一概没看。当我妈问他
要不要看亲属关系证明及其他材料时，他说“不用，我相信你们”。

我只说简单几个例子，我高中同学，传统工科专业，硕士毕业16年，在国内换过三个公
司，总共出差去过90多个国家，在外长期外派六个国家超过八年。他在外派美国的时候
跳槽美国企业。虽然收入可能还是二十来万？和码工没法比。但是他可以算已经成功翻
越天花板，以后的职业选择就是在美安心做个中层高管，或者海归做个高级部门主管，
甚至自行创业。和中年危机后半辈子一眼看到头的索男完全不一样。
在美国混得索男，无论是IT还是传产。有几个有这样丰富的历练机会？ 国内用人还真
是会给你一个从头被培养的机会，当然这也因为国内相对确实缺高端人才，必须自己培
养。而米帝这里老中别看能混到什么title，就被就是人肉电池，被老板榨取价值，根
本不会考虑你的人生规划和发展，用过即丢。这也是很多北美索男中年就业危机所在。
除了做人肉电池别无所长。
国内那些工程师出身的，四十来岁的时候早就构架无数人脉网络了，即使技术上落伍了
，还可以转换跑道吃人脉的饭。
不止是70后得天独厚赶上了好机会。年轻人也仍然是国内的机会多。

One can only select inheritors specified in statute. A nephew can never be
his uncle's inheritor, however, a nephew can be a donee of a gift upon death
made by his uncle. In this sense, a nephew is not in a better situation
than anybody else.
Chinese inheritance law is very different from US'. I hope that my words
can alert some wsns here. Some would thank me later. Mark my words.

A。85岁老人，白，男，听力很差，独居，摔倒在家，住了两天了。只有一个NEPHEW可
以帮助他。NEPHEW人还不错，还来看过他两次。老人很孤独，卫生比较差。
B。年轻病人。
C。80多岁老人，黑，女，身体还行，自己能走，整天就是坐在那读书或是填字游戏。
ASTHMA，住了3天院了。她是来自一个SENIOR BUILDING。老人们互相照顾，另有管理
人员。SOCIAL WORKER这次帮助她安排了FREE HOMEMAKER，每天两三小时，一周五次。
马上要出院了。
D。新病人，81岁，黑，女，晚上11点进来的。和女儿一起住。癌症，但是拒绝治疗。
这次发现已经转移了。女儿和两个孙女从2点送她到医院，一直陪着她。直到住院部医

的礼物，让我寄到另一个地址。ebay给出的confirmed的地址的名字的确和买家的名字
不同。买家也没有专门留另外的地址，所以估计ebay提供的shipping地址就是这nephew
的。而且记得推荐只能寄到ebay confirm的地址？？
ebay上经验不多，从来没有遇到过新注册的买家，再加上她留这么一个note，才让我有
