关于ITIN申请2012年6月的新政，可以参见我们之前的介绍。点击这里
本次的更新，除了之前的护照认证外，主要是针对2013年1月1日起生效的新规定。
2012年6月新政主要变化是之前普通的公证件IRS不在接受，仅接受certified copy; 翻
译成中文感觉是认证件，而不是公证件。但根据网友的实际经验分享，感觉这项业务在
领事馆貌似还是公证，但是要盖钢印的说；不是普通的公证员那种。然而IRS还是最在
乎出具机关吧；如果是护照的签发机关公证的或者认证的，他们可能感觉更加正式，更
具真实性。

2012年12月7日更新
根据部分网友的反馈，证实：在领事馆馆通过办理护照中文公证申请ITIN，的确是有被
拒的先例。其中有一例是为父母同时申请ITIN, 一个用护照原件，一个用公证件；原件
通过，公证件被拒。可见排除其他因素，护照原件成为决定因素。那么，对于中国护照

than an indefinite period. This change will help ensure that ITINs are being
used for legitimate tax purposes. Taxpayers who still need an ITIN will

天午餐时候才让同事提醒这事，瞬间头大，赶紧把半夜睡着的爸妈叫醒，要了刚发的签
证照片（发现上面提醒要注册的）。好在，实际不难，只要10-20分钟就搞定，而且马
上更新，不用等个24-48小时什么的。所以最坏情况，出发当天也是可以搞定的：）。
需要材料：
1。DS160信息（不是确认页，完整版那个）
2。十年签证页

基本上你填过DS160，这个就不算什么，几个值得提的地方如下：
1. 如果你有两个人或更多，可以用group enrollment。
2。虽然要的信息很多，但是你输入了开始的基本信息后，系统就会自动根据DS160信息
填上其他部分(~80%左右空)。
3。会问爸妈父母（也就是我们的爷爷奶奶）的中文姓名，但是那个不是必填的，所以
我就都跳过了。

相关工作申请了专利（有我的名字，当然也排在后面）
请问在petition letter里面我可以说"I have discovered /published...."或者"My
work is reported....."么？
另外在写contribution以及authorship的部分时，先列这些非第一作者工作还是
先列第一作者但是影响力没有这么大的工作呢？

西部科罗拉多州霍利市的延森农场(Jensen Farms)的哈密瓜。在李氏杆菌疫情爆发后，
