新华网堪培拉6月12日电（记者徐海静）澳大利亚联邦科学和工业研究组织11日宣布，
该国建设的ASKAP射电天文望远镜已具备运行能力，该组织开发的射电望远镜新技术具
有革新性潜力。
射电天文望远镜观测的是源自遥远天体的无线电波。对将于2018年开建的世界最大射电
天文望远镜——“平方公里级射电望远镜阵列”（SKA）来说，这是一项重要进展。
ASKAP望远镜全称为“澳大利亚SKA探路者”，其建造目的就是为SKA望远镜项目研发新
技术。
SKA望远镜是国际合作项目，将在澳大利亚和南非建造。中国是SKA和ASKAP项目的关键
合作者之一。ASKAP望远镜所用的36个天线全部由中国电子科技集团公司制造。
澳联邦科学和工业研究组织公布了ASKAP望远镜拍摄的一张照片，显示了南天极区域的
一些遥远星系。该图像相当于一张黑白照片，不过是在射电波段而不是可见光波段拍到
的，拍摄耗时12小时。
科研人员说，这一图像显示该组织研发的“相位阵列馈源技术”能稳定工作12小时。这
