可能现在大概有十几个人左右吧
因为自己做的东西跟他们很接近，跟他们人也稍微有些联系，所以毕业后有一些可能会
加入他们
不知道这样的一个startup大概是个什么样的水平？这样的时机值不值的进入？

good money by selling it to EMC (you can check their venue).
VMWare, NICIRA (this time, yeah, west coast) are more recent live examples.
as for data: this year, Google announces their (internal) WAN handles more
traffic than its customer-facing end. Simultaneously, google, youtube,
amazon, ... and their customers are continuously pumping in even more data.

发帖数: 127 | 23 是standford一个做网络交换的教授，加上Cisco出来的几个人一起搞的。做openflow的
。应该是openflow的鼻祖吧。
这个教授以前做核心路由算法的吧。
背后的几个VC也都还行。
这样的startup在湾区很典型。只要市场一开拓出来，有点起色。立马可以上市的。
另外一个做类似的也是跟stanford有关联的是big switch.
不明白的是这俩公司啥关系。。。。觉得有点诡异 |

今年 Amazon 狂招人，十多个同学跑到 Seattle 去了。剩下的去 Microsoft Google
Oracle 什么的都有几个，网络公司基本上没人问津，就一个去 Cisco 的。
打算投一下 Cisco，Juniper，Palo Alto，A10，Arista，Nicira，还有 NetApp。
各位前辈有啥建议么？ |

烦还不好说。况且cisco从来都不缺竞争对手，从10几年情况来看，基本上cisco这样的
公司很少自己主动探路，都是别人探路探好了，cisco后发制人。只有一个例外，就是
load balancer，跟F5一直第一第二这么竞争 |

Arista cut a piece of pie primarily thanks to its low latency performance.
But now Cisco's come up with Nexus 3548 which beats Arista's. I believe
Arista is still viable, but is it still that promising? Very curious on this. |

Both had a pretty decent exit.
Not sure about Arista, being a L2/L3 player with
off-the-shelf ASIC, How can it differentiate itself

Cisco其实啥都搞，啥都有储备。基本可以说立于不败之地。 |

transport。
Nuage属于Alcatel-Lucent。Alcatel-Lucent在Data Center没什么存在，所以可以采用
破坏性的方式。 |
