1. pocket 9's. absolutely nuts and he can wait for your turn bet.
2. pocket 8's, similar to #1.
3. overpair such as pocket Qs or As.
I can't put him on anything else. Even a loose player shouldn't call your
big bets with just an overpair in his hand unless it's at least pocket Qs.
This is cash game, so even pocket Qs or As is too weak and should be folded.
I would like to put him on pocket Qs :) |

second hand, i was big blind with 2d6d, button with KK. he bet $20, i called

He doesn't have to call your all-in actually. The pot is about 170 and he
has 70 left. The board is coordinated and has a staright possibility. It's
kind of dangerous.
But what I don't understand is the preflop actions in your two hands. The
raises are $15 or $20, very large compared to the blinds. How could so many
people called so loosely? Maybe you guys are thinking in terms of absolute $

f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 23 sorry, it's "I-have-to-call". yeah, i agree, both were not even ok hands at
all, that's why i said stupid lucky. he's the type of players who can't let go
big pairs, and he didn't put me on a straight at all with that flop.
hehe, if i have to find an "excuse" to justify my actions:
1) the first one was because i still got obsessed with my previous hand (it'

the flop. i was low stake after it (i only brought $100 onto the |

f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 25 true, that's why i said "i got big problems with suited cards" (it's a
personal phycological shortcoming) which is risky in the long term.
so far i only have played 4 times (2hr + 4 + 2 + 6) 1/2NL in BM casinos, up
3 times with $1200 total, lost once for $38. for a beginner like me, it's a
good starting record but can't count on it.
each time i only bring $100 to the table, and may add another $100-200 in
the middle, but never over it.
whenever i get over $200, i'll immediately cash out to keep |
|
f*****g 发帖数: 15860 | 26 in another sense, actually he's more "predictable" to me (what he may have
and why he bets like so and so), but he has less info. from me.
of course, if i keep playing like this loose or stay on the same table for
too long, he'll find out easily. that's why i only play about 20% crappy
hands like this now and then, and for most time, i have to see at least 2
useful cards on the flop to move forward. for ~$20 pre-flop, it's fine to me
unless somebody raises even more to break my phyco limit.

m*****i 发帖数: 1873 | 30 just after I lost my tourment I played on pokerstar.
NL400(2/4)
I was on botton called 12$( raised by a loose guy).
flop is 6s 10d 4h ( no flush draw).
he bet 30$, I called( I got bely buster draw),
turn was 5d I got the nut!
to my surprise , he bet 125$ for that 80$ pot!!
What should I do here, call? raise? how much if I raised( he may get nothing
or overpair or set) |
|
m*****i 发帖数: 1873 | 31 I got KQsuited on the botton( NL400$)
a very loose aggressive guy( I saw him call all in 400$ by top pair, and
very aggressive) bet 16$ before me, I called .
flop Q35 two spade, he bet 24$, I call 24$, turn is nothing , he bet 64$ I
called 64$.
river is not spade. he bet 181$ for a 200$ pot.
How to explain this, what do you think, this unnormal over bet means either
bluffing or value bet. Should I call? with my top pair K kicker( I am pretyy
sure he didn't have AA, or KK,QA ) |
|
m*****i 发帖数: 1873 | 32 A hand in NL400 FTP.
pocket 5 in big blind.
one limper , button bet 14$, I called 14$ on big blind, the limper called
too.
flop K45 no flush draw, I checked, limper( this is a very loose guy )
checked.
botton bet 25$, I called, limper called, turn is 7, still no flush draw, I
checked , limper checked too, botton bet 55$, i checked raise to 165$,
limper called!
botton fold.
river is 8!
so K4578 there. I checked, limper all in 220$ for the almost 500$ there.
tough decision....... |

m*****i 发帖数: 1873 | 33 one hand slow play AQ bf flop heads up with a very loose guy .
NL400( 2/4)
AQ on sb, limped in, he checked on BB
flop Qh4c7c two club.
I checked , he bet 8$ for the 8$ pot, I checked raise to 28$, he called.
turn is 3d, I checked, he checked,river is 8 s,
I value bet 44$ , he all in ( only 230$ around)
Really touch, I know he might hit straight on the turn or maybe two pairs on
the river. but his betting really like he is bluffing( he read I have only
one pair since I show my weakness on turn)
