The Republican National Committee appears to have accidentally hit publish
on a post declaring Indiana Gov. Mike Pence the winner of Tuesday night's
vice presidential debate before it even began.
The post, which was taken down soon after Twitter noticed the error, was

The first presidential debate between Republican nominee Donald Trump and
Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton happened at Hofstra University (Long
Island, New York) on the night of Sept. 26. Many claimed Clinton has won the
first debate. On the contrary, I do not think Donald lost on that round at
all.

Don't read too much into the results from these towns. They lean
conservative and normally vote Republican. Dixville voted for the Republican
in every election since 1960 — including Barry Goldwater who lost in a
landslide to Lyndon Johnson — until going for Obama in 2008, and splitting
the vote between Romney and Obama in 2012.
Since reviving midnight voting, Hart's Location voted for Dole in 1996, Bush
