地理只是再差的人也应该知道Pacific Northwest是靠着Pacific的吧:)，我没有具体数
据Oregon和Washington到底有多长的海岸线，再说Olympia半岛和Puget Sound也不知道
怎么算，反正这两个州南北跨度大约是600迈左右吧。说到海，大家一般的印象都是夏
威夷，佛罗里达或者南加州。西北的海岸大概不如那些地方的知名，但是却很有自己的
特色。总的概括起来，西北以及北加州的海岸更加贴近自然，更加纯朴，少一些商业气
氛。这跟这个地区的大气候是分不开的。西海岸的三个州，特别是Oregon和Washington
，都把环保事业放到比经济发展更重要的位置。上次大选，绿党在西北获得了5%左右的
选票（他们在全国只获得了<2%的选票），有人说Oregon是全国最绿的州，我觉得这个
说法不是没有根据的。在这样的大环境下，西海岸也得到了很好的保护。我不清楚
Washington，但是Oregon有一个很有意思的政策，那就是，所有的海滩都是public
property，不允许私人拥有。这就从很大程度上限制了为商业利益驱使的过度开发的杀
鸡取卵的行为，也保证了 |

3. 安全和其他
安全是任何户外活动的首要因素。任何户外活动都有潜在的危险。要最大程度的感受大
自然给你带来的快乐，安全一定要放在首要的位置。Day hike相对来说比较安全，最大
的安全隐患恐怕是迷路和对自己体力估计过高。出发前一定要对trail的情况做详细的
调查，读一读review，地图，查好天气情况。最好和认识路的人一起走。没有经验的话
一定要留出足够的时间，带上充足的水和食物。在不是非常炎热的夏天，一人一天需要
2升水，如果强度很大或者气温高需要更多。新手看地图经常忽视的一个问题是trail的
海拔升降。一条trail的强度其实很大程度上取决于海拔。而且平地的行走能力往往跟
海拔升降是两个概念。平地上走得快的人不一定在爬坡上有绝对优势。自己的水平需要
多走才能知道。

在Pacific Northwest三周了。去了Rainier，然后去了Smith Rock，Olympic
National Park，然后ferry到Victoria，再到Vancouver，Squamish。Vancouver开会，
然后回Seattle。
三月份zd帖出Rainier计划的时候，我一看体力要求就放弃了。后来alexwang同学
反复提Rainier，搞得我实在受不了诱惑才给zd发了信。我胃不好，一上海拔必吐，稍
微高点的山就会很痛苦。可偏偏每次都顶不住诱惑。这七年都不知道有多少次高原反应
到连胆汁都吐出来了，咬牙切齿发誓再不上山；然后稍微下点海拔，还没回家呢，神智
清醒了又开始盘算下回去哪里爬。真是不知道哪来的瘾。为了督促自己训练，在学校参
加了一个personal training program，教练为我设计了一整套力量和心肺的练习。三
月底报名了6月的半程马拉松。我膝盖有伤，从来没想过自己还能跑半马的。第一次
long run膝盖就又伤了。赶 |

nonrefundable fare:
取消：150美元手续费--剩余票款可用（注2）。留作credit。
该credit须在一年内使用（注3）。只能用于购买乘客为原始机票上乘客的新机票。
如果购买新机票以后，credit上还有余额，余额会变成一张Miscellaneous Charge
Order (MCO)。一年有效，只能用于购买乘客为原始机票上乘客的新机票。
如果购买新机票以后，MCO上还有余额，全部余额会消失。
如果能花１５０，然后剩余票款作为ｃｒｅｄｉｔ的话，我也能接受，至少比全部损失

那个买家估计是专门做flip foreclosure home的，你看他09年12月买下房子，10年1月
份就
挂出来买。这中间很可能花了10多万的装修，所以一开始出来要价67万；撑了1年多才

根据自己的时间和兴趣，要想每个景点看一遍，至少要在里面玩三天。大部分旅行社的
线路安排都是一整天，走马观花，在几个著名景点前拍照留念，到此一游。每年的黄石
公园线路总是最受欢迎的，今年8月份的线路提前一个月就定满了。西雅图出发5天大巴
团，比起飞到盐湖城、洛杉矶、拉斯维加斯来参团有利有弊。好处是省心，从家门口出
发，5天后返回，不需要经过飞行、接机送机的麻烦，费用低很多；缺点就是，坐车时
间长。好在沿途停留的景点不少。
下面这个线路，是西雅图一帮爱好旅游的老外定的线路，大部分是单身，参团并交友，
线路比我们的长一倍，安排了更多的游玩项目。当然，他们的费用是我们的6倍！线路
供自驾游的朋友参考。
