就是有人看到5楼的窗口伸出了一把枪。然后这个客人报告了前台，前台报警。
客人是个煞笔，因为气枪有明显的桔红色枪口标志。正是盲目恐枪一族才会看到气枪而
惊惶。
但是即使客人没有看清楚， 枪支出现在窗口之外在AZ是完全合法，因为AZ允许 open
carry.
前台根本不应该报警，因为La Quinta Inn & Suites 不是 gun free hotel。hotel 没
有任何规定客人不可以带枪。
综合上面两点，警察根本不应该出警，更没有任何理由搜查。

我在car accident后跟我的agent说我的车开不了，需要租车。他说产生任何费用需要
notify对方的保险公司，要到对方的保险公司file一个claim，否则即使是对方的责任
，也会因为没有及时notify而不报销。我请我的agent帮我file了一个claim到对方保险
公司。
前天我打电话到对方保险公司询问这个claim的进展，对方保险公司说还在处理中，事
故责任还没鉴定，因为刚刚才收到保险人拍的照片。我说我这儿也有相片，我也要上传
，后来我就发过去了。对方保险公司说马上处理，让我等消息。
我就奇怪了，对方都没认输（不过我不是找的对方adjuster,而是对方的总机
representive），我的保险公司先因为对方不肯承认是自己的错，却先说我证据不充分
，不想管这个事，破财消灾的意思。我哪里还敢期望对方的保险公司能公正的评判。
再后来，我给寄给我们结论信的负责人问情况，他说证据不充分的情况下，可以组织一
个panel，大概耗时4-5个月。他说我们的证据很明显的看到对方责任，连inspector当

I just got mine fixed at the dealers. Thanks to this forum, i knew about the
issue prior to going out and test driving the outbacks. Both ones I drove
didnt have it. I was waiting for a green one and when that arrived--it had
it the issue but I wasnt overly worried about it since it seemed like an
easy fix once id'd.

低又是直射，我没戴墨镜，再加上车窗上的霜没完全除干净，导致我只能看见前方不到
一米。因为是single lane我也不方便pull over，只能很慢的速度随着车流慢慢开着。
限速35，我大约20-30。不知什么时候前面的车都停下来了，因为都要等着转入前方垂
直的大路。而我因为看不到的原因还在以原来的速度开着，直到撞到了前方停着的车，
被撞的车又连带撞了它前面停着的车。 我的车前盖开了，气囊都开了。车也报废了。
前面的车撞得倒不厉害，rear bumper稍微脱落了一点，再前面的车问题更不打。辆车
都能开。 警察给判了我负全责，这没问题，自认倒霉。跟他解释了是视线原因，他也
就是听着，不置可否。不过他承认我的速度应该没超，从车的损毁程度看“you are

我刚毕业，打算带家人去坐个Caribbean的游轮，就Carnival那种，visit US adjacent
islands。我有工作offer，大概5月入职，律师刚刚帮我file H1B petition。不知道
在这种情况下，坐cruise会不会有问题？
Concern是这样的(according to my 律师)。假设我H1B抽中了，如果我一直在境内，那
我的状态是change of status(也就是F1自动变成H1B)；但如果我在4月1日之后出境，
律师说我就不是change of status了，会变成consular notify，意味着我必须去使馆
签证来激活我的H1B status.
但是后来我又跟律师说，我其实只是坐个游轮，并不是回中国一类的。她回复我说: it

An interviewer estimated final decision in two weeks and asked for
references.
I notified my professors and previous supervisors.
Then I got rejection after four weeks. No reference had been contacted.
They are still interviewing people, which I'm not surprised to know.
Problem is, I told him that I would notify my references only when an offer
is close.
The interviewer said yes. |

available了, subject 只需要每次notify一架飞机就可以, 不需要notify所有的
observer了吧 |

发帖数: 1093 | 49 其实两个binary semaphore就足够了，一个sem_full另外一个是sem_empty 初值都为0
pop操作只有在检测到queue为空的时候才去wait(sem_full)，当push一个新元素的时候
都会去notify一个等待的线程
push操作检测queue为满的时候做类似操作
如果光用mutex的话，当queue为空的话，做pop操作的线程即使拿到mutex每次都检测到
queue为空，这样子就做了很多无谓的工作，还占用了时间片
而用同步机制的话，这种情况下会被scheduler直接放进pending list里面直到被
notify避免了cpu的浪费 |

个线程被唤醒。 我当时的思路是定义两个object, H和O线程wait 在不同的object上，
