标 题: 有在NREL的同学吗

申请了NREL的博后，刚电面过，感觉上聊得还不错，很可能马上发onsite。但是除了跟
职位相关的东西，网上好像关于NREL的东西不多，相比于其他的国家实验室比如LANL，
ORNL，SNL好像NREL曝光率不是很高，有些问题，希望NREL能帮忙解答一下,
NREL支持H1B吗？我问过那边的小秘，小秘说不清楚，有可能。
NREL的博后第一年大概多少钱? glassdoor提供的range太大了。
NREL的博后申请NREL的engineer方便吗？这个主要是为了后路考虑，不想一直做博后。

考古看到大家推荐summit village和lakewood的一些房子。请问这两个区哪个到nrel交
通更
方便些呢？
查地图貌似lakewood是往denver中心的方向，是不是平时买菜逛街娱乐都方便些。
lakewood那一区有具体的apartment推荐吗？谢谢大家。
另外不知道nrel有没有中国人的群可以加入呢。谢谢啦。 |

道CSM周围的环境怎么样，好像离Denver挺近的，现在在看apartment，不知道除了
summit view 还有哪些比较好，离CSM近一点的，5W的工资在Golden生活还可以么？不
知道Denver周围的消费高不高，多谢！ |

which is 2 miles away from NREL. Rents are similar. |

问下你的NREL哪个部分的？
可以自己申请EB1A, 不用靠实验室支持。

应该是5万5左右
现在国家试验室Hiring Freeze，所以要先转Rearch Associate，这RA跟Engineer差不
多，基本做的不错的跟老板要求都会转。转了这个以后基本就一年内可以保证转Full
Time了，其实就是要多走一步。NREL基本俺知道想留下的都留下了 |

旁边还有几家。最方便的是camden denver west，离NREL走路距离，俺们当时住那，
lease好像是随便选的。就是相对比2nd place那附近的贵点。NREL应该有个大聚集地，
俺把名字给忘了 |

Summit View is located in between NREL and CSM, 2-3 miles to either campus.
Golden is a small and charming city at the foot of Rocky Mountains. About 15
-20 min from downtown Denver.
5W is decent for postdoc positions and Golden is not particularly expensive.
Rent for a two bed room apt at Summit View is around $800 per month. |

have plenty of time of their own. There are more activities around Denver
and in the mountains than one can physically participate. Outdoor activities
are very popular here. |

NREL is much smaller than other labs.
