韩国政府24日发表声明称，韩国已经与美国等相关国家进行了沟通，商讨下一步的
应对之策。“我们认为，朝鲜炮击延坪岛事件是对大韩民国的公然军事挑衅，他们不加
选择地对毫无防御的居民区进行了炮击，这是一种明显的非人道主义行径，此举也公然
违反了联合国宪章和南北双方的停战协定。”
声明表示，尽管已处于高度戒备状态，但韩国仍将冷静应对。“我们要求国民保持
冷静，我们将给予牺牲士兵崇高荣誉，并将于本周六(11月27日)为他们举行葬礼。”
