I think I have figured out the reason McHale is irritated with not just
Jeremy Lin but with any starting point guard he’s had (Lowry and Dragic are
recent examples).
McHale played a summer for Bobby Knight who is the master of the motion
offense. Like Mike Woodson who also played for Knight at Indiana, McHale
believes a point guard should be making quick decisions and not pound the
ball dribbling selfishly.

Lin---- I kind of think this is what should be an average
game for Lin. The Lakers let Lin play more of his game when he came in after
5 minutes in the first (either that or he just did it) and it looked
perfectly fluid with Kobe out there. We ran a lot more mix of high screens
for him to attack off, and he also pushed the pace at times. He was calling
plays, making sure he found Nick when he was hot. It just doesn’t seem that

and Kaufman's running game is very good too.
their offense was one of league's best,
but defense was dead last,
plus led the league in penalties.
A problem of that year's offense is:
almost all offense came from big plays,
Jeff's long bombs and Kaufman's long run,
they either 3 and out, or 3 and TD,
so defense always on the field and got beaten.

实力平平的队就不说了，进攻特别强、或防守超一流的强队，小鸡也设计了一套阴招。

表现，根本不能作为季后赛评判的标准。
97年我驴，05年港人，08年巨人，都是从根本不被人看好的wildcard最底层一级级杀上
来，掀翻所有常规赛的强队，最后夺得SB的。
季后赛不同，主要是defense完全上了一个新的层次。NFL有句老话：赢球靠offense,
拿SB就得靠defense --- 意思是季后赛的defense的表演才是决定性的。而季后赛时，
对offense的进攻手段已充分了解，不大可能有新招，而defense却可对症下药，其凶狠
程度远超常规赛时。
面临乌有，Giants,我驴，Steelers这些强力防守组的凶狠防守冲击，或是小鸡的阴险
怪招，Matt Ryan, 德州佬的Schaub, 49人的二手QB，都不是能镇住场面的超级QB，多半
three and out，不INT，放炮就不错了。

Offsides - When a defensive player is lined up on the offenseive side of the
ball, but doesn't cause an offensive player to move, and the offens snaps
the ball it's a five yard penalty with a free play. Free play meaning that
the QB can just chuck the ball up and see what happens and if it's turned
over, it doesn't matter because the offense would just take the 5 yard
penalty.

没啥关系。主流球迷观点是，TREY BURTON或者JORDAN REED才是引领鳄鱼扭转胜的关键
。BRANTLEY的球风打法实在没法适合鳄鱼。
我记得赛季前展望本赛季的时候，MEYER说过鳄鱼进攻将会为BRANTLEY做变动；而球迷
们认为，鳄鱼2010赛季的BRANTLEY将如同2004赛季UTAH的ALEX SMITH般。
赛季已经过去大半了，BRANTLEY不但没有成为ALEX SMITH，反而快把自己的首发位置给
弄丢了。
我特意回去找了UTAH2004赛季的视频来看，看看SMITH当年是怎么打的。此君身子骨也
不厚实，并非像TEBOW般能冲锋陷阵；也并非如同Denard Robinson般飞快，但是确实在
MWC里是个跑动威胁，平均看下来每次RUSH4-5码总是有的。这点就是BRANTLEY在SEC没
法具备的。虽然他和SMITH的身形差不多，但是显然SEC的防守队员天赋素质更佳了。很

学老虎队。目前都是不败金身。这两个队的风格也是非常接近。都是传说中的邪派神功
spread option. 古老相传，防守赢得冠军。这两只队伍的防守很solid,但是远未达到
可以驾驭比赛的程度。同区的路易斯安娜州立，阿拉巴马大学，北边的俄亥俄州立等校
，防守都要高出一块儿。两个队伍能打到现在金身不破，靠的正式他们无坚不摧千奇百
变得进攻。
看看其他几个在各大联盟中有鼎足之力的学校，俄克拉何马，德克萨斯，内部拉斯加，
南方的佛大鳄鱼，无一不是spread offense，或passing happy, 或running happy,都
是spread offense得用户。所谓的spread option,也是spread offense的一支而已。再

huskers相当萎靡人见人欺，这也非常make sense。本来全州人口就少，地理位置也不
是很好，没有任何条件吸引好球员吗。一直到1962年，当新的主教练Bob Devaney接手
的时候，事情有了根本的改观，，第一年的战绩就从Losing record改善到了9-2。从此
以后nebraska一直到2004年Bill Callahan接手，再也没有出现过losing season。
1962年也是memorial stadium 球票sold out记录开始的第一年，这个记录一直持续到
今天，一共是314场。在Bob Devaney球队的影响下（没有他nebraska 铁定跟周围的什
么wyoming，south dakota，north dakota一样，没有任何全国有名的东西了），

队还有Miami,Michigan State，Colorado State.
(Note: 在我眼里，spreadoffense 是westcoast offense 的一个变种）
上次说到没有几个对能像LSU那样，在赛场上排满和BAMA队势均力敌的队员。LSU对BAMA
的比赛， 每一次都像是全明星队对阵，双方5星级的球员能有二，三十人。
别的队没有这种奢侈，只好另辟蹊径。
最早是以SEC East为代表的 Spread Offense.比如Florida.其特点是进攻是，5
个 receiver在场上。receiver速度快，防守队一般没有足够的二线队员同时防5， 6
个receiver， 这样就易出空档。
Spread Offense 盛行了十多年，从90年代中到Tebow鼎盛。 RR，作为SpreadOffense
的 基础代表，在Michigan覆灭代表着这一offense的终结。

我就觉得offensive，给学校写信了，说这个是wrong and offensive，因为没有任何地
方还在使用这样的说法，尤其满洲这个词已经没有人使用了，是一个历史名词。如果你
们不改正，我会联系中国大使馆。
UC系统的脑残不是一天两天了。
又总会有阁下这样的人觉得一点都不offensive，相反还很赞。我没有说服你的必要。
这个写法不是旧式的问题，我简单google了一下，没有看到任何地方使用这个样的话所
发。这完全是UC的一帮脑残不知道出于什么动机搞出来的一个飞机。不管他们的动机如
何，这就是错误的，中国的名字有官方的说法，UC系统没有任何的资格作任何的改动。 |
