You can ride ok using back-foot-steering at low speed oftentimes, but you
are gonna suffer at high speed by either falling or braking. Anyhow,
maneuvering the board takes concert effort of both legs as well as the other
parts of the whole body, try not to over-focus on one part but forget the

For her age, concentrating on the best stroke(s) is the common strategy.
Free style always gets the most practice time. For kids my son's age, they
should practice all strokes. Oftentimes, the best stroke seems to "rotate."
His best stroke was fly, now it's back. He was a weak breast stroker, but
dropped 6 seconds in 50 in this meet (he last time swam it in March ) with a
time between AA and AAA. Still his worst stroke, but makes his IM very
competitive now.

it's normal. you can check many good MTTers' stats, oftentimes they get
nothing or barely break even for months, then suddenly a big jump, ... it's
kind of a lottery (although you still need to have tons of skills), many
times you'll finish like 15th or 30th, in general, not a bad run at all, but
you get little money.
so next time when you finish top 3 in a big MTT, look back for all those

Since variance is such a large coefficient in the poker formula, it's

Old school pros who play 'intuition-based' often suffer from a few major
