大脑的神经传导物质5-羟色胺（5-hydroxytryptamine，5HT）是个很关键的东西，
经常用来做anti-depressed药物，所以一般抑郁症患者会缺乏5HT
然后，万恶的科学家（饶毅）就把合成5HT的酶从小鼠的基因里敲出了。这个可怜
的小鼠就变gay鸟！！同时对待female和male，它对female视而不见，坚定的跟在
male后面跑，还英勇的冲上去爆菊了！！（原文还有个video，，，看的姐都羞涩
了。。。）
然后，万恶的科学家又给直接向大脑里注射了5-HT，这可怜的小鼠又被掰直了！！
！又放弃男鼠追着女鼠跑了！！！还有英勇的去mate了！！
（矮油这个居然也有video。。。。太不和谐鸟！！！
至此说明5HT对sexual preference至少对male mice性取向起了很大的作用！！！

有朋友去中美洲旅游，回来一身蚊子块，说差点被蚊子吃了。
事实上我自己也是有一本蚊子块血泪史，回想起当初去秘鲁亚马逊雨林，挥手告别带回
来几百个肿块的惨痛回忆。
从此痛定思痛，博览群书，皓首穷经，参考了HIV鸡尾酒疗法，亲自去蚊子最凶恶的地
区人体试验，终于总结出目前最为有效广谱的户外N重鸡尾酒防蚊法论文，
特别献给o型血的悲摧同学们，特别针对蚊子遮天蔽日的森林湖泊等野外环境。
但防蚊的方法见仁见智各种说法相互矛盾的也不少，有的对你有效对别人却无效，
因此我采取了鸡尾酒法，也就是说这种不行用那种，必有一款适合您，仅供应参考。目

首先我们要知己知彼，明白蚊子怎么找人，蚊子主要通过感应人呼吸发出的二氧化碳，
体温和气味。[1]有人认为蚊子特别喜欢o型血，但事实上无证据支持这一点，其实特别
招蚊子的人，多半是因为呼吸快，肺活量大，体温高，出汗等因素吸引蚊子。

truck blocking the lane, although the reeking malodor tipped me off two
blocks away.
Riding a bike in the rain reminds me of my younger years in China, sans the
fancy helmet and the gear-shifting device on the bike, although I rarely use
the lower gears, my muscle can pump enough power to sustain prolonged
uphill inclination.

比如cori bargmann做的那些olfaction,navigation,learning&memory的东东，意义大
么？把circuit弄出来了又能如何呢？
虽然我觉得把行为map到神经元的水平上很cool，可总觉得worm还是too simple了些，
哪怕和果蝇or蚊子比。。。 |

That's not my project anyway. We are not a neuro lab and my boss is doing it
herself.
The repellent is a social signal. The screen was done on genes known to be
involved in chemotaxis/olfaction in
this animal. No GPCR is tested because there are too many. However key
components of the GPCR pathway are involved.
I suggest my boss to identify the components of the repellent using HPLC and
do some calcium imaging instead of using laser ablation only. My boss says
