美国phD，毕业后在美国top牛小薄厚，已经两年了。递EB1a的时候是薄厚一年半的事。
那时候文章7，第一作者的只有2，没有CNS文章，citation是逐年增加的（当时是80多吧）
claim publication, contribution, media都承认了
review没有claim，因为当时只有10左右吧，结果也承认了。
推荐信6封。
总的来说我毕业时间不长，文章数目有限，case算弱的。所以totality上不知道具体该怎么加强。现在citation和review
的数目都有增加，还有一片挂名的CNS文章投了很可能会发（当然无法在30天内发出来）。但既然claim的都已经承
认，我是不是就不该再纠缠这些了？记得以前看人说凡认可的表示感谢就好了，多说还多错。
除了再厚脸皮找人写推荐信吹自己top ％（不知道能不能找到人写这种信），也想不到其他了。非常希望得到大家的指

补充一下背景：

1A can omit non-independent letters. 1B need boss's letters to prove
research experience. Well, 1A can use one or two non-independent ones if
they can say a lot of details on your work.
来泛泛吹嘘一下自己比较好，还是找名气不大但是确实被我的paper影响到的人比较好
呢？
The latter one is better. If you have a very Niu reference, you'd better not
to list his huge citation numbers, etc, but just to say that they have a
lot, otherwise the IOs may compare you with your references, especially for
1A.

其实我准备140的时间也挺长了，应该是在15年时候第一次H1没抽中，就强迫症一样的
开始准备O-1，尽管还有H1二抽的机会。因为已经毕业，该发的文章也都发了，引用也
不受自己控制，所以从那时候开始攒review，主要途径是通过phd导师，那时候基本一
周审一篇吧，工作量其实不小。然后自现在己照着网上的各种资源自拟了PL，也管同事
的朋友要了4封推荐信（都是曾经bells labs的一些骨干，在不同地方当prof，在此万
分感谢他们为了亲自给我写推荐信还认真读我的paper）。后来过了一年抽中H1，O-1就
基本放下了，review的频率也降了不少。本来认为自己的水平也就够EB1B的，就期待着
公司能大发慈悲帮我弄（公司的通过率是100%）。可是公司有个隐形的policy，就是入
职3年才可以办，正值川爷上台要大改移民政策，加上去年年底回国被check到虚，就在

有所不同。
过程：
1. 填appeal表格（FormAA-1，不是A1）

然后交相关材料
2. tax board hearing，过程：
home owner陈述
city/town tax assessor office（我们town雇了鸟律师代表）陈述
交叉诘问
总结陈词
我们之前找了两个律师都婉拒了我们的case，他们认为很难argue我们的房子价值比
town的assessment value低15%以上，但是因为和我们预想的annual tax差别一千五
百左右，我们还是决定自己上。
陈词的时候主要想make两个points，
1. 我们的房屋买价 + renovation cost < assessed value * 0.85 --- 所谓的cost
method

也研究过loan/refinancing closing statement, 找出interest overlapped
overcharge, omitted $10,000 earnest money.
更研究过tenant law, 找回被扣的deposit.
这样的例子太多了。。。
凡是事关大笔金钱，或者性命相关的我都愿意花时间自己独立研究。 读了Ph.D., 不能
把学到的研究能力用到生活上或者其他重要领域，是浪费。
