When freshly passed in stools, the oocyst is not infective The number 1 (
thus, direct fecal-oral transmission cannot occur; this differentiates
Cyclospora from another important coccidian parasite, Cryptosporidium). In
the environment The number 2, sporulation occurs after days or weeks at
temperatures between 22°C to 32°C, resulting in division of the sporont
into two sporocysts, each containing two elongate sporozoites The number 3.

Infection in humans and other warm-blooded animals can occur:
by consuming raw or undercooked meat containing T. gondii tissue cysts[27][
50][51][52][53] The most common threat to citizens in the United States is
from eating raw or undercooked pork. It is possible, though unlikely, to
ingest the parasite through other products:[54]
by ingesting water, soil, vegetables, or anything contaminated with oocysts
shed in the feces of an infected animal.[50] Cat fecal matter is
particularly dangerous: J...

正在GOOGLE中,看到一句“cats shed the oocysts for only a short period of
time (about 2-3 weeks) and often are not shedding the oocysts when they are
showing signs of disease.”

来自主题: pets版 - Toxoplasmosis in Cats
http://www.vet.cornell.edu/fhc/brochures/toxo.html
Toxoplasmosis is usually diagnosed based on the history, signs of illness,
and the results of supportive laboratory tests. Measurement of IgG and IgM
antibodies to Toxoplasma gondii in the blood can help diagnose toxoplasmosis
. The presence of significant IgG antibodies to T. gondii in a healthy cat
suggests that the cat has been previously infected and now is most likely
immune and not excreting oocysts....

several facts about 弓形虫
1. Up to one third of the world's human population is estimated to carry a
Toxoplasma infection, so this is not really a "cat thing".
2. Cats generally develop immunity to T gondii after the initial infection
and therefore shed oocysts only once in their lifetime. And cats excrete the
pathogen in their feces for a number of weeks after contracting the disease
, generally by eating an infected rodent. So even the cat test positive now,
it will not hurt your baby in the fut
