I think UPS guys stole it. I have similar experience before, but from big
company. They reimbursed me. When I opended my package, I could see that
someone open from the bottom because tape is not not sticked. Your neighbor
wouldn't take one. Next time when you see the same UPS guy and mention it,
but don't accuse him. You will be safe thereafter.

我的背景是做SOCIAL SCIENCE的，如果不读博士后或者找教授职位的话，找工作特别难。
毕业的时候通过NETWORK找了一份工作，也算1年多了，公司还好，可是没有什么发展潜
力，也不能保证经常可以学习新东西，develop 不同的技巧和能力。所以我很想跳槽。
一开始有考虑走data scientist 的路，做了点研究后，发现我也不是很适合。一，
我不喜欢计算机的编程。但调用程序，做数据分析，还算喜欢，这个过程也会碰到一些
问题，但很快可以解决。二，我数学功底不强，对算法什么的，不懂，也不是很想学懂。
所以也无法和中国刷题，基本功好的人竞争。
问题是工业界对我们这类人的需要很少。常常一个OPENDING，基本要求MASTER加一些
工作经验就可以申请了。所以这样的话，我也竞争不过美国本土人。美国本土读SOCIAL
SCIENCE，找不到工作的人太多了。所以有人帮我做了一个找工作的策略。就是找工作

据说 is not a very dependable source, it can misguide the person asking the
questions, unless you can provide a hard proof or based on your own

some powerpoint file. After I disabled the "allow faster save" option
in "Tools-->options-->Edit". And also limited the "number of undo"

1。肯定能找到。我只在美东的2，3个州申请，发了几百封信，两面试，一offer，很满
意，结束折腾开始准备答辩。
2。两手抓：
2a. 上网搜opending,本学科的community网站，和年会结合。
2b. 学校网站，很多学校有自己的post position的页面，有些还有定期的news。所
有相关department里面的所有相关老板都可以发。
2c. 按照2b的方法你会发现需要发的信很多很多，所以可以选1相关的，2自己喜欢的
方向申请。最理想的是你喜欢的方向的实验室正好要往你做过的方向发展，而这种情况
你不发信一般不可能想到。
3。信要写好。可以有模板，但是不同的教授还是要不一样。心情不一样每次写的信也
不一样，效果也不一样，我感觉看完老板主页有激情的时候写的信普遍效果较好。有次
给个老板写信，copy上一封，忘了改名字，发信老板和错误名字老板还认识，然后回信
说我不是，你发错了，你是怎么认识那个教授的？引以为戒 |

活性自由基的话，“活性”要加引号，其实只是可控而已，可以通过可逆终止（ATRP等
）也可以通过简并转移（RAFT等）
普通的自由基聚合是很快被灭掉了
快速引发我觉得只是为了降低pdi吧，阴离子的话不会因为引发慢了就不是活性的了
“活性”自由基聚合也不见得都要求快速引发，具体我不是太了解
以上只是讲了chain growth polymerization两种情况，没包括 ring-opending
polymerization
往大了讲还有step growth polymerization，所以你说的普通聚合并没有定义清楚。。 |
