Hi, I have a question concerning OpenLDAP which is along with the RH7.2.
I have installed OpenLDAP when I installed the RH7.2. I have set up
the slapd.conf under /etc/openldap/.
However, everytime I use ldapmodify/ldapadd command, it comes out the
error msg:
ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: No such attribute.
I'm new in LDAP. I've read OpenLDAP Administrator's Guide, but couldn't
find the solution. Any highhand knows how to solve this problem?

I am new for this OpenLDAP thing. Could youn please provide me some clues for
the following questions?
1.I am using JBoss 4.02. Do I need to install LDAP client in my PC so that
servlets can talk with LDAP server?
2. Could you please provide me an example for OpenLDAP for Servlets

验证？通讯录？这些都是ldap就可以办到的，用openldap就可以。
域管理？域是什么版本的？这个openldap就办不到了。samba好像可以。samba 3可以管
理nt4的域,samba4可以管理windows 2000的域

什么server？是不是server的模块不全？ 我的lighttpd里面用ipkg list_installed显
示有如下模块安装。你的如果没有，就装上这些模块 （不一定要全装）。

subversion用apache的mod_ldap:Authentication Provider设成ldap
以后引进新的server都用ldap authenticate |

Anybody knows that whether there is any free LDAP server that supports
Persistent Search control? I need to use JNDI's event notification
methodshttp://java.sun.com/products/jndi/tutorial/beyond/event/index.html.
It says "the LDAP server must support the Persistent Search control
(Internet-draft draft-ietf-ldapext-psearch-03.txt)." The free LDAP server
OpenLDAP with Linux doesn't support it, nor Windows Active Directory.
I only know that Netscape Directory Server v4.1 and above supports it |

server is a linux machine installed Openldap server.
I used the following command:
ldapclient manual -a domainName=dc=mydomain.com \
-a credentialLevel=anonymous \
-a defaultSearchBase=dc=mydomain,dc=com \
-a authenticationMethod=tls:simple \
ldapserverIP
But the system give the following error message:
"/usr/lib/ldap/ldap_cachemgr" returned: 256
