羟考酮、芬太尼、美沙酮，这些常用于急性重症病人的阿片类镇痛药（opioids）在美
国引起了相当大的社会问题。据美国疾控中心统计，每五个接受疼痛治疗的非癌症病人
中，就有一个被执业医师或者药师开出阿片类药物的处方，而这些药物的成瘾特性，不
仅为医疗保险系统带来了沉重的负担，更为病患以及家属带来难以衡量的创伤：每年世
界上80%的阿片类药物被美国所消耗，仅在2015年，就有约3亿份相关的止疼处方被开出
，相关医疗费用达到240亿美元；每天就有91人死于药物过量；而一旦孕妇使用了阿片
类镇痛药，将会极大提升婴儿成瘾的风险。
造成美国“阿片类药物瘟疫”现象的幕后原因，总结起来可分为：（1）医生在开出镇
痛药处方时并未向病人做出关于其副作用的说明；（2）医生受到镇痛药厂家的利益驱
使，超开或滥开处方；（3）镇痛药厂家为了扩大市场占有率，市场推广中少提及或不
