Opticians are worried over exposure to light from devices could cause long
term eye problems.
Opticians say people are so addicted to smartphones they may be increasing
their risk of eye damage.
They are warning overuse from phones and other devices like computers,
tablets, and flat screen TVs can lead to long-term damage.
It comes as a survey of 2,000 people suggests under 25s check their phones
thirty-two times a day.

者。 孩子远视是要带眼镜纠正的。 越早越好。配眼镜让看得有些模糊，让大脑去调节
努力看清。带几年就好了。 好像是每半年再配一副。
近视是得带一辈子眼镜的。 |

ophthalmologist: MD degree
optometrist:OD degree
如果是眼科手术，找ophthalmologist．如果不做手术，两者均科．配眼镜找
optometrist．optician只负责despense眼镜. |

候就订了high index的。
结果取回来发现新的镜片不比就的薄（而新旧镜框大小形状是几乎一样的，新镜片度数
实际上还低了一点点）。
回到眼镜店。optician坚持说如果做镜片的过程出错那么做镜片的人就会有大麻烦，所
以不可能出错。并且说high index的主要目的是看的更清楚，而不是更薄。
请问谁知道哪里可以确认／测量镜片的index吗？ |

发帖数: 433 | 12 看了前一阵子很热的那个关于斜眼的贴子，当中有一个mm提到infantsee program，南
瓜现在七个半月，有时候看起来有点crossed eye，离远看到人会很开心的笑，感觉总
的问题不大，但是想着反正不用钱，就约了今天的一个appointment。约的时候专门找
了一个speciality是幼儿眼睛的optician，还要提到是infantsee program。
去到先是问一些问题，包括家族的眼睛问题，是否足月生产，生产的时候是否顺利，
apgar score是多少(这个我听也没听说过，版上的麻麻知道吗？），还有宝宝的
milestones等。问到宝宝是否engaged when you talk to him的时候，南瓜一直盯着医
生，医生都笑了。
然后是正式的检查。先要提一下检查的时候，南瓜已经早上起来了3个小时了，所以整
个过程有点不配合。医生先是遮住南瓜的一只眼，用灯去看另外一只眼。然后在南瓜面
前移动一个小灯，看南瓜是否会follow objects，这个时候南瓜就把头拧向另外一边，

是普通health insurance管，不是vision。 |

（optometrist or optician），而是真正医学院出身的医生，去看他们是属於医疗行
为。 |

They are both good and now both are owned by the same parent company (
Luxottica). So if Pearle is closer you can try them. I work for a private
doctor so i have to say that if you have one close to you try them first.
They are usually priced about the same but the service is usually more
personal. Good luck!!!!

照着这个在网上填的时候发现网站上说如果是progressive的,必须填上n.v.值,
原文如下: NV-Add refers to the near-vision correction in the prescription.

险公司肯定会付的。
而且有近视的人大多数因为眼睛弧度改变会有一些眼睛上的问题或并发症，自己看不到
，但是趁着验光的时候顺便给opthalmologist检查一下也是好的。 |

There's an optician in State Street. Eye-exam for contact
costs $40 or so. And to get six pairs of one-month-disposal contact lens,
it costs $50. So not bad at all.
Other place to consider is Walmart and Shopko optical. |
