美国，是地球上人类有史以来最伟大的国家。她的伟大，是几乎怎么夸奖都不过分的。
我知道有许多人会有“酸葡萄”心里。还有一些认真的人会提到美国政府明显的错误，
如其入侵伊拉克的谎言（伊拉克有大规模杀人武器）等。尽管有这些近年的事实（也可
以再加上早年的贩卖黑人和更早期的对印第安人的屠戮），美国仍然不失为一个伟大的
国家。
为什么呢？因为有三点我们必须看到。
1）从人类的文明史的发展来看，美国是一个不断改正自己错误的国家。
美国历史上的错误，是人类贪婪天性的一部分。正因为美国人继承的是欧洲文化，所以
她才能逐渐的，从内心反省，来改变自己的行为。历史上，美国的黑人解放是什么原因
呢？是黑人革命造反成功，使白人从社会上，从外部感受到压力，不得不让步的结果吗
、如中国历史上反反复复的改朝换代一样吗？不是。黑人的解放主要是白人（欧洲）文
化所导致的自我反省的结果。看看南非最后种族歧视的结束不是曼德拉领导的“暴力革
命”的结果就知道了。看看印度英狄拉甘地的“不合作”运动，改变了英国殖民统治的
结局就知道了。看看美国总统噢巴马的当选，再多大程度上是白人对黑人的“负罪感”

，虽然想你所说的，他已经尽量信达雅，而且顾及音韵了，但莎剧情感外露，而我不大
习惯太张牙舞爪的中文，所以还是看不下。
但是，后来一看原版的，发现他的语言还真的是好，什么人性啊，戏剧张力啊等我都觉
得无关重要了。其实是哪怕是鬼佬，没有工具书或注释看莎剧都不怎么能明白的，因为
毕竟语言有演化。对于头一次看，我推荐用Arden版，注释非常详尽。但是Arden版比较
贵（我太cheap了！），所以看了一次自己买来回味的我推荐Royal Shakespeared
Society的版本，便宜，注释也不错，而且很轻薄，封面设计也好（我还有一个理由：
封面摸起来很滑:p）。然后工具书，作为普通人，我觉得买一本Dover（无错！就是那
家专门出便宜过期数学书的Dover，作为他们数学书的fan，当我发现他们居然出字典时
都好兴奋！）出的莎士比亚字典就够了。
莎士比亚真的是大俗大雅，他的insults非常有名，基本莎剧演员的一个基本功训练就
是拿着一张表，一行是侮辱性的形容词，另一行是侮辱性的名词，演员就是要互相对着
