do remember that a ID showed a
concern and inquired Laodao and the organizors if it was really necessary.
The answer was YES. I did respect
this requirement because we would enter his private property.
I don't think I was stupid to do so, but, I truly overestimated the
organizors' common and legal sense.

PANEL。刚刚回复他说乐意之至。只是现在有几个问题，实在不好意思开口问PD。（说
实话，我特别害怕我们那个PD，不知道为什么。）就上来跟大家讨教。
问题一：PANEL在SET UP之后一般都由一个VOLUNTEER ORGANIZOR负责组织吗还是直接由
PD组织？
问题二：PANEL MEETING那天，是要到NSF集合。俺们比较土，NSF是俺接触的最大政府
部门了。进NSF需要什么身份验证吗？还是PD会出具一个什么证明给PANELIST这样才能
进门。
问题三：我们PANEL MEETING的时间是五月底，具体地点是要等PD的通知吗？PD在EMAIL
里只说到NSF去MEETING，也没说那个BUILDING那个ROOM。我也不好意思问。
问题四：我要是开车去DC是4个半到5个小时，TAKE AIRPLANE也差不多4个小时。自己
PREFER DRIVING。如果开车去NSF的话，NSF能给报销吗？还有要是开车去NSF的话，NSF
门口PARKING LOT紧张吗？

公司申请EB1B， 刚收到RFE。公司请的律师也没有太多建议，让自己先想想看如何回复
。本人背景比起板上很多牛人很弱，但很想看看能不能在板上得到一些建议最后一搏。

名校3年PHD，paper5篇，全是一作conference，没有journal。硕士还有一篇中文
journal。
工作背景：
2年专业Top 5校博后，独立完成一个军方项目，使用技术属业内首创(当然军方的项目
可能也不多见)。军方评价很高，已经写了其中一个推荐信。
然后转到行业内著名公司当工程师，干的还可以，老板的老板都很满意 （他大概管100
号人），认为我属于TOP5%。还没请出山过。
推荐信有6封，来自学术界和军方。
conference review more than 10 papers.
律师申请时claim了好几条（其实当时觉得有点悬，但还是听了律师的）。现在Io 只批
准了authorship，其他都要求RFE.
我打算放弃一些比较弱的catrgory, 专功original contribution （军方的项目） 和
critical role （博后和公司的表现）.

背景：
机械工程领域，普通学校AP,学校不给办EB-1B,就自己上EB-1A. 一年多前让律师弄过，
不好，RFE后没过。刚DIY了EB-1A又收RFE. OFFICER: 0153
CLAIM 了老3样：
1) authorship: 12篇期刊+19会议; 1,2,3作各1/3左右；
2）reviewer: 63次， 有大概12个期刊，4个会议，1个小期刊associate editor, 3个
期刊editor证明信，另外有Department of Energy project reviewer, National
Science Foundation proposal reviewer;
3)contribution: 讲了5，6个较具体的contribution，配合着推荐信里的表述，165次
引用，2次领域知名会议最佳论文奖，1次该会议10佳论文，做过一些会议的session
chair, session organizor, panelist.5个研究项目。

。一个星期之内就知道了。
1. 期刊和会议文章的引用率大大高于平均该期刊/会议的引用率，并且总引用数在3个
月之内增加了20%；
2. 列出了以往10年的最佳论文的获奖人，除我以外都是名校的FULL PROFESSOR，并且
我在6年内获奖两次；
3. 列出了3年内期刊平均引用率和7个工程院士的对比，还要高于他们；
4. 找到了一个院士在一篇报告中用一整段谈我的一个方法在他的领域的用处；
5. 一个工业项目合作者的推荐信，谈对他们公司的具体贡献；
6. 一个期刊主编（NASA任职）的推荐信，谈和他相同的一个方向的我的具体贡献（正

to 18. Apparently I can not attend massbad at that moment. So either they
avoid to use March 16 for game C or I have to say sorry. Someone else can
still make this Dongyu C team, for instance, amedio. And areyoueye can not
make it, too. Although I will still support the massbad, and definitely our
dongyu team, I am kind of feeling sad and a liitle upset. With all respect,

After he played couple games, the organizor found he did not have green card
, and disqualified him.
69 was not happy, and said something bold. Some IDs here disagreed.

play you even though they are just self-rated.
I did join some small groups, but after the organizor introduced their best
player to play me, i still won easily.
Another group which has a lot of great players, but they are 30 miles away
plus practise at 8am on Sat. Crazy for me. |

昨天tournament就是这样。打了六个game，就开始下雨。等了5分钟停了，就重新开始
打。又打了3个game，又开始下。过了10分钟停了，又等了20分钟场地干掉。重新开始
warmup。5分钟后就开始暴雨了。organizor只能推迟所有比赛到今天了。让大家今天早
晨6：30查网站看计划。结果今天又下。从6：30到9：30每小时update一次，现在还没
订下来今天比赛的schedule呢。 |

TEAM,不愿接纳水平不高的女生. 一方面, 我觉得可以理解,但是另外一方面, 也觉得对
女生来说, 对水平不高的男生来说,也是不公平的. 其实, 我们R大的这个俱乐部,也同
样存在这个问题. 但是,我们处理的就比较好.
我们一般采用"剪刀,石头, 布"类似的办法组队.如果互相之间水平相差太悬殊, 就做一
点点调整. 尽管大家都想要水平高的,不想要水平低的, 这样一来, 就相对公平.
我在美国人的俱乐部也打过,他们采用的是, 让你先在一张纸上填上你想打的位置, 然
后,有ORGANIZOR以之为根据, 分组, 这样, 每个人的角色就会比较明了.一般,他们会问
你, "二传","中间-MIDDLE",和"主攻-OUTSIDER". 这样, 一个队伍就确定了.
我觉得我们以后, 可以尝试一下这种方法...这样, 对队员提高角色的适应性, 提高技
术, 甚至提高兴趣, 都可能会有意想不到的益处.
坚决反对, 平时比较"熟悉"的,水平高的,总是凑在一起!!!其实, 我们这样的"玩",输赢
