例如希特勒用煤气室杀犹太人是比较科学的，在实践过程中不断优化每个步骤，这种优化的步骤具有普遍性，要用来杀俄国人，也一样有效率。
问题是研究科学的目地，该是有效杀人么？这是价值问题。科学不管价值，佛法有价值观，有目地。
佛陀教导佛法有明确的目地，是使人离苦得乐，而不只是价值中立的规律。善行是离苦得乐的条件。觉悟自己过去的恶行（当时不知是恶），舍恶向善，这是佛法(ought to)。观察别人因为恶行受到恶报，了解因果业报的规律，符合佛法(is)。若认为恶行可以导致快乐，这是对因果的错乱认识。
认为善、恶自性本空，是大乘的见解；即使有这种见解，也不能认为作恶没后果，否则大乘也说这是恶取空。三乘共同的见解，是证果的人戒清净，不会有意犯五戒。 |
