首先，大学是一个行政单位，大家平常强调publication，funding，teaching，甚至
service，很容易给自己一个错觉就是我是完全独立运行在学术界的一个个体。上面说
了benefits和cost，我觉得差不多等同于constructive还是destructive的问题。你个
人的存在，对这个群体必须要有建设作用，而且这个建设要outshine你的破坏作用如果
有的话。funding只是一方面，毕竟大部分还是给你花了。你也许比其他老师都优秀一
些，但一个人的力量永远都不及一个和谐运作的团体对社会的贡献更大。
常见一些新秀们和老人比publication， 比钱，认为老人们都干不动了什么的。我们系
有一个老人，知道人家默默干了多少事，应付ABET, 辅导了学生和实验课，为我们挡了
多少外界的子弹和大粪吗？他要是撂担子，让我们新人平分，还想像现在这样focus on
research？每个星期都要去senate坐班，讨论一些版上大部分人都认为是没用浪费时

Definitely you should go with projector, just normal HD (DishNetwork/
DirectTV) source will outshine the TV, not to mention the BlueRay, the
screen makes big difference. Now I seldom watch TV from the TV itself. |

你自己做冰块得做多少在这种大cooler里面啊，买一代大冰块才多钱
那太废了，而且最后都会化，不好，也不环保
我有次在stop shop看到过，在保温杯啊还有什么饭盒袋 的地方
叫冰砖比较合适，呵呵，应该是放冰箱冷冻几个小时，然后就能放在冰盒里面
