#1 Interstellar
感觉Nolan是一蟹不如一蟹，Memento 和 Dark Night算他的巅峰之作，小成本与大制作
。好像一旦进入主流好莱坞成了标杆，作品立马蜕变成滥情商业片。Insterstellar 比
Inception 还无聊。
#2 The Lego movie
看到结尾，知道被骗了，讲普通人的励志片，实在不是我的菜。
#3 Chef
不懂为什么口碑这么好，storyline 实在太predictable的，人物也偏平的像pancake.
#4 Under the Skin
故事还行，有点拖拉，摄影太矫情，有望成为cult movie.
#5 Maleficent， Dawn of the Planets of the Apes
真的很一般，想不出有什么亮点。
#6 Lucy
这个大家有共识，不说了。
Underrated:
#1 Inside Llewyn Davis
IMDB 75% ,而Boyhood 高达85%。第一遍看觉得很不错，但是被里面的歌分神了，第二

随着更多的Tesla车在大街上出现，其品牌也逐渐被人接受。以车版为例，去年年底提
起 Tesla基本上还是无人认可无人考虑，现在则是两派观点均有
现在TSLA股票确实有些Overhype，但这不妨碍长期逢低做多的根本战略。现在或曾经的
大牛股AAPL GOOG RIMM AMZN WFM这些，都在不同的时期有overhyped, overvalued的情况

The answer may be similar to why Germans, Swiss and Danes studied physics
and math, relative to Americans, prior to WWII.
That being, a long history of intellectual cultures in those other countries
and the lack of one here.

首先祝賀大家新年快樂。
轉眼已經是2019年了；我在2016年和高能物理的既得利益勢力有過一番論戰，兩年多下
來，這方面有不少新發展，足夠寫一篇文章來介紹。不過這裏所謂的“進展”或“動態
”，當然並不是高能物理界有了什麽研究上的突破：高能理論已經原地踏步40多年，期
間只大量生產了純粹用來爭取論文數量的僞科學（例如超對稱、超弦、多重宇宙、額外
維度等等），沒有任何實際上對宇宙的新瞭解。40多年間，兩代的玄學家對真正想做和
能做科學的人，實現了相當徹底的逆淘汰（亦即不是逐出物理界，就是壓制到行業的邊
緣），所以指望這些現在知名的玄學大師們做出理論上的突破，基本是緣木求魚。
而高能實驗，除了繼續驗證4、50年的老理論（亦即標準模型，Standard Model；例如
測量到Top Quark和Higgs粒子）之外，凡是基於前述的僞科學理論（主要是超對稱）的
幾百個極爲昂貴的實驗（光列舉我以前詳細討論過的，就包括耗資100億美元以上的LHC

这些话的确充分体现了大部分美国高能物理学界的典型思维模式，就是毫不犹豫的使用
夸大宣传甚至是无中生有正话反说的方式来欺骗群众，以达到骗取funding的目的。当
然他们关心的并不是物理本身，而是自己的经费，自己和自己学生博厚的教职而已。这
种思路在美国各个部门都使出浑身骗术骗房顶，而科研领域拿到的房顶比起美国政府的
浪费来说完全是凤毛菱角的现实环境下有一定的合理性，但越来越多的千人和青千们现
在把这个风气带回国就不好了。

上两周，我写了一篇关于美国民主党内部邮件泄露事件的文章，试图澄清一些广泛流传
的误解。
文章发出去不久，有一些人来留言——
但是民主党已经开始杀人灭口了…一个数据中心的负责人刚刚在家门口被枪杀…
据说泄密的主要嫌疑人也被杀了
呵呵杀人灭口的事情说是小道消息装不知道 洗的一手好地
这些留言的时间是7月29日左右，民主党邮件被公开发生在7月22日，而Seth Rich死于7
月10日。
只要做个简单的搜索就会发现“民主党邮件泄露后，希拉里报复杀人”的传言完全站不
住脚，时间上的先后顺序就是错的：难道希拉里手中有时光机，可以回到十几天前去杀
人？
当然，编造传闻的人也不都是那么傻，另一个版本是：希拉里早就知道邮件泄露的事情
，所以在邮件被公布之前就把Seth Rich干掉了。
这也是彻底的胡说。我不想把这篇文章变成一篇考证文，因此不再展开分析，但我在后
文中会给出考证文的链接供大家参考。
这两天，关于希拉里杀人的文章又多了起来——不是杀了一个人，而是杀了四五个人。

总体感觉是：这一套东西很多都是common sense, 并且在学术界已经被讨论很多，这个
designer也承认他做的大部分工作是收集整理把它体系化，更好的为产品design服务
所以，人文学科很重要
还有技术壁垒低的行业都是时刻得面临被淘汰的危险
facebook, groupon都有这样的问题
相反一些hard engineering由于壁垒高，一旦成功影响深远
中国战略投资还得投hard engineering, 特别是被老美这边霸占的东西
扯远了... |

作为比较，facebook现在是200M美国国内用户。
twitter现在是16M美国国内用户。
G+现已经有10M用户，绝大部分是美国用户。 |

法，但大火完全overhype,受到影响的只有那些建在山上的豪宅，苦哈哈民工们的房子
基本没有影响的。
我没说SD房价绝对值便宜，但是相对BOS，还是便宜的。你的argument没到点子上，其
实如果硬要in defense of bos, 那么可以指出的是其实SD的工资到手的部分和BOS比并
没有绝对的优势（当然还是高一点），而且那边工作机会也不像弯曲那么多。
至于40-60万，你在象lexington/belmont/3w 这样的地方，基本上是找不到1940年以后
，1750SQR以上，不临街，不路冲的房子的，内部条件和SD的房子比起来更是免谈。 |
