that no water can escape from anywhere. It has been holding very well for
two years. If you are not sure, try to add another layer of bath caulk which
should be able to hold things better. |

If the seepage on your basement wall is not so well below ground, one of the
things you can try is,
1. Dig up along the basement wall to the depth where the seepage occurs.
Make the drench 4' wide.
2. Waterproof the exterior wall, I'll just use the stuff sold in HD or Lowes

80-85% of that area is actually covered by my roof. so I don't need totally
water proof. As long as most water can run off or evaporate before it seeps
in, I'm fine. Also only when it rains hard in maybe 7 days, do I see wet "
basement". only happened once a year to twice maybe in LA, where we do get

A sump pump might be an overkill, but you definitely needs a drain tile from
this pit to
1. Storm drain. Most local codes actually disallow runoff into storm drain,
but yours is spring water :) They should pay for it
2. Or 南边大下坡.
3. Or 西边树林.
You might consult somebody other than your builder, because if you leave it
up to your builder, they would just choose the one costing the least, not
necessarily the best.

My understanding is it's just "stainable", which means it would darken after
stain, but how could it darken to the right shade? I mean, even if you
apply the same polyurethane to different kinds of wood, the colors you got
on different woods are different. So, even if the maker can adjust the shade
of the wood filler after stain, which shade should they match to? Oak?
Hickory? Maple? Walnut?

code里面一般是mosture proof就行了。当然如果是自己建房，如果是我，我会用water
proof的橡胶漆，外面再加上R15的保温材料（我在北方较冷处，南方可能不需要）。
这个他们当然是符合code就行，自建的话我会overkill一点的。 |

done in one application. Repeat till it fades away. Then you can stain it to
any color/shade you'd like. Staining is probably an overkill, but if that
little dark spot cost your sleep, you better do it.
I saw the new attic fan, is it thermally controlled? As long as it functions
properly, I don't see any mold coming back. |

I am confused, if you have a build-in kitchen (as indicated by sub-z fridge)
, you should consider cooktops, not ranges. It also does not make much sense
to consider double-oven if you do not have a build-in kitchen.
if you have space, get a separate fridge and a freezer. The freezer does not
have to be inside the kitchen. You will get more space, better energy
efficiency and no cross-talks of food smells.

project beef up上好几倍。你要没个主见，budget control难了去了。
通常decking，板之间留16d钉子那么宽的一条缝。但老汉看New England有的就不留，

俩pallet，大的应该在下面，都钉好了之后，再加中间的层，这样就不用把studs弯得
跟老三一样。
基本上，framing都是这个原理，先固定好两头，再加中间。这样，对线性误差，中间
任何一点都不会比两头大。相反，从一头依次做到另一头，误差可能线性蔓延。尺度一
大，到另一头的时候就会超出误差容忍范围。 |
