router
firewall 和 router的区别其实特别小，特别是发型设备。
小型firewall会做各种事，中型会做一些基本的，大型firewall基本就是做小事，因为
需要performance，不可能一个个packet查。
中国政府做的事情其实不需要firewall，一个router random drop packet就行了，一
个policy就搞定。
全球网络只有几台core，亚洲一个，在日本，欧洲一个，大洋洲一个，非洲木有，剩下
4个在美洲，全在美国，西海岸一个，芝加哥ATT一个，东海岸一个，还有一个在北卡。 |

1.I-131, Part 3, question 4.a: Have you ever before been issued a reentry
permit or Refugee Travel Document? 这里是填yes还是no啊？之前的AP算是reentry
permit吗？
2.I-131, Part 1, question 6: Class of Admission. 以前律师给的DIY packet上说
如果out of status，就不填这一栏。可还是有点担心，不知道要不要填AOS。
3.I-765, Question 15: Current Immigration Status. 还是以前律师给的DIY packet
上说如果out of status，就不填这一栏。可在网上考古又有人说需要填AOS.
4.是要复印以前所有EAD(包括OPT)还是只是之前485 EAD?

提早递交485确实不需要修改联邦法就能实现，只需要修改政府行政法规CFR，这个政府
自己有权利修改，不需要通过国会。09年USCIS就有相关提案，就是很早以前版上就提
到过的RIN: 1615-AB82：见http://www.reginfo.gov/public/do/eAgendaViewRule?pubId=200904&RIN=1615-AB82，这个提案多年来一直搁置，原因我估计就是我前面提到的，政府怕一旦通过这条，又把EAD和AP的实质好处去掉，反而遭到更多的群愤，不如按兵不动。
仔细读一下这个提案，你就会发现，他们只提提早提交申请，丝毫没有提EAD和AP的事，而且这个提早递交，是根据USCIS自己制定的另一个排期“qualifying dates”来排队，也就是说他们想把递交485和批准485二合一的排期制度变成两个独立排期，门里排期还是由DOS管，门外排期由USCIS自己制定，相当于USCIS自我扩权，摘录如下"Further, this proposed rule would remove an al... 阅读全帖 |

you are missing the point或者你不承认你原先对HDMI的理解是错误的。
The key point is: HDMI传输数字信号是无法从原理上（协议上）保证数据传输正确性
的，好的器材和
坏的器材对于HDMI数字信号是有影响的，从而影响到画质和音质。
我的claim是“HDMI视频音频的数字信号是没有校验和重传”，校验部分我说的有点儿
绝对，I take it
back。但这不影响我前面的key point。退一步讲，即便有error detection和error
correction，如果没有重传也不影响我说的key point。

back。但这不影响我前面的key point。退一步讲，即便有error detection和error
correction，如果没有重传也不影响我说的key point。

我看了source code里的http_main.c 好象有关于接收TCP packets 和发送
packets to TCP layer的功能就是在那里实现的. 可是很散乱, 我找不出

最近看到一个MANET SIM软件这样处理Radio 接受信号的.
这里主要讨论可能的packet collision问题.
这个软件用discrete event simuliaiton来做. 研究的协议是802.11.
假设接受radio 信号需要一定的时间.
它处理的方法是:
如果一个node在物理层接收一个radio signal(a packet in MAC)时,
同时收到了一个新的信号. 那么如果新的信号比正在接受中的信号
更强就假设最后可以成功收到新的信号.否则就可以成功受到旧的信号.
当然, 还有一些SNR,BER判断.
我对EE和网络不熟, 请问这符合实际情况嘛? |

TCP, or UDP)的packet 的loss, delay。这种是很微观的simulation.
如果想做很宏观的simulation比如在flow level, 比如只关心link capacity 的usage,
available bandwidth, 多少个不同的connections, 网络上traffic的动态的情形(一
些new flow come， 一些old flow finish),或者是动态的topology(some links are
up, and some links are down), 能用Ns2 来做这方面的simulation吗？
好像很多人自己写discrete event driven simulation来仿真。

If there are two processes, 1 tcp 1 udp, they are both sending
to the network layer with same rate. How come a "channel collision"
will affect only tcp?
If the udp process keeping pushing packets to the network layer,
it will blow the IP packet buffer, not the channel. But we are
not talking that the UDP process is greedy and the tcp is not,
right?
