经过讨价还价,系里退让一步,续聘半年让他找下家,他现在在PITSBURG UNIVERSITY.当
时系主任也是"PAKISTANI".
当时记得他走之前在他办公室门上贴满"宣泄不满"的话.
我们作为学生,觉得他是有他自己的问题(个性张扬,自负),但是,他也是很委屈的.这个
人还是很优秀的.
他TRACK其间发了20多片JOURNAL,其中一半是他第一作者.教学也还行,就是有点瞧不起
笨学生.
我们觉得,他TENURE 被否决,肯定有很大"POLITICS"因素! 当时他跟系里另外两个希纳
教授斗的厉害,两派的学生都遭殃,发生几起博士生答辩通不过,重新答辩,以至耽误找工
作.
评TENURE, 两希腊教授肯定是评委,加上系主任也不喜欢他,结果可想而知.
当时如果学校不给缓冲,很难说他不会做出过急事情.

people, and specially people who do not contribute to HK.
There are 6000 Pakistanis illegally staying in HK. I read in Ming Pao that
they get about $1000 welfare from some charity.
And the truth is , people who are born in HK has no choice because it is our
home, but for most of the newcomers ,HK is just a transit ticket or a
skipping board to go to other countries. They don't care about HK, they
would laugh if it sinks |

Arizona governor wants major new spending on border security
