The file may be read-only, or another user may have it open. Please save the

After searching and doing many research, I thought that this can be fixed by
closing preview-pane in the windows explorer.

好处是交通方便，离哪里都比较近。学区还可以（小学7-9分，初中高中都是10分）。
房子还比较新，lot也大。
坏处是因为建在坡地上，floor plan不太好。后院几乎没有（除了deck就是长满了野藤
的slope）.窗户是double pane的但是比较老。不知道有没有emission.旁边有很多
rental apartment.

发帖数: 35 | 9 房子20年，窗户虽然是双层的（里外两片玻璃），但并不是现在很流行的double-pane
window， 隔音也不好(小区的gardener一来附近打扫，屋里面就很吵）。而且因为年久
，窗户的密封也不太严，有的窗户的两层玻璃之间好像有水雾。
想趁政府有stimulus计划时换成energy efficient的， 不知有什么选择.
1. 可不可以只换玻璃,保留窗框呢?
2. 老在 KGO 做广告的 www.newpane.com 有人用过吗? 哪种牌子的窗户物美价廉(只要
求隔音保温效果好即可,其他features不重要)
3. 打了电话给两个local窗户公司,一个(比较老牌的)说两个星期后才能来estimate,
另一个明天就能来.有经验的网友可不可以教育俺们一下estimate时应该问些什么问题?
货比三家时要注意什么?

你去hd/lowes看看，那里面的double pane window也就几百刀一个（一般不超过500刀
），就算加上labor每个窗户平均怎么也不该超过1000刀。 |

不过价钱跟窗户大小有关系，也许你的2k是很大的窗户。
我问的400是个很模糊的价钱，他们要来家测量具体尺寸，然后给出具体报价。
不过如果装得窗户多，会有一个比较大的discount。

现在inspection 做完了，发现房子的排水可能有问题。
这个房子的右侧是一个小山坡，inspector 说下雨时右侧的积水可能无法排出，会集在
墙边，从而影响foundation。
我们要求房主解决右侧的排水问题，房主回复说，房子早已经安装了French drain。不
知道这个东西有没有作用？而房主也拒绝请人来评估一下foundation 是否受到了影响
。他的另一个理由是现在那里没发现积水。可是现在是冬天，本来就没积水，不知道夏
天怎么样？如果房子买了，等夏天下雨时才发现问题，房主早找不见了。现在不知道是
不是坚持找人来评估一下foundation 或 French drain. 现在觉得，这是这个房子的一
大隐患。是不是该放弃这个房子？还想听听有经验的TX的意见。

this and have to live at this location, you can use some shielding for your
house, lead and steel works well, but are costly. The best cost effective
way is to build your house with concrete (icf or sip is the most common). 10
inch thick concrete along with triple pane windows made with leaded glass
should do just fine. |

我看到一些木头房子的设计，1楼和2楼的大窗户正好错开，ICF的设计是不是
窗户开口上下对上比较好？因为要两层楼的钢筋。还是说，反正钢筋可以弯，
无所谓？再或者，有门窗的地方就不能放钢筋了？

，里外的墙都要刷，还有一些小毛病要修。
