99年的escort，一直都还好。前几天开始抽风，打燃以后，parking档动不了。熄火再
打燃，往返几次就好了。但是今天彻底当了，怎么折腾都不会动。
刹车灯会亮。经过前几次的观察发现，刹车踩下去以后会有轻微的啪的一声，然后
parking档就能动了。如果没有这个声音，parking档怎么都动不了，那个lock button
也按不动。
大家说说会是什么原因吧。

背景：我们已经注册了他们的Kindergardten 班，在Washington Park 的campus。
但是那天听朋友说，好像 他们在SANTA CLARA Pomeroy的campus 比较好。
搞得有点想转学。(这个手续上不难。我们还没开始。）
朋友说，
1.是学生组成比例上稍微比Washington Park的好一些，就是说印度人
少一些，diversity好一些。请问是否是这个状况？
我们看过Washington的那个，班里30个孩子，大概25个印度人，剩下
族群5个。的确很恐怖。

meter， 投了2个小时的， 办事去了， 一个小时后回来发现车上有罚单， 说parking
overtime，俺大怒。
看看meter还有时间啊， 有仔细看看罚单， 哦， 俺投错了meter， 不是俺park的那个。

停在居民区被罚过几次parking ticket，有两次还是莫名其妙的parallel parking，要
100多。appeal到最后总是先交钱再review。
请问大家，CA和NY联网吗？这个parking ticket如果不去管它，以后换牌照（年底准
备换NY牌照）会不会查出来？或者我以后车子直接在NY trade in，要不要紧。

parking ticket， 原因是停在了red zone。
由于头天晚上到达得时间太晚， 到达之前朋友告诉说，注意要扫街的时间段不能停车
， 转悠了好久才挤进个spot，特地看了些扫街的时间，第二天可以趴。 当时光线比较
暗，没注意到curb上的红色漆(再加上自己的车挡住了光线，晚上就更加看不清楚油漆
了)。 现在，到原来泊车的地方看过，也没有 no parking on red zone的标志（大农
村的没见过世面，在小疙瘩地方没遇到过刷油漆）。
打了ticket上的电话，接线员说会反映情况，然后会给自己寄信。由于自己找工搬家，
加上usps不给力，一直没收到parking office的信。今天打过去问说， 已经超过21天
， 不能contest the ticket。
请问大家：目前，还可不可以拿到hearing的机会？ 虽然contest ticket的机会很渺茫
， 一来想试一试， 二来想去见过世面。 现在有个concern, 如果contest失败的话，

使用，所以到周末时，已经被贴了3张罚单。并且车拖走。拖车费$130，3张ticket，每
张$95，共计$415.
2.趴车的小路是双车道，free parking,限速25，路上也没有其他特别的警示牌，两旁
都是住居民。自从我3年前搬到这个城市以来，车都停在这条街上。这3年以来，一直看
到不少车是逆向车流趴在这条街上的，而且并没有看到罚单。我以为这是本地parking
默许的传统，偶然情况下自己也为之，直至这次被罚款并拖车。
3.付了拖车费要回车之后，连续几天在这条街上观察，发现每次都有10辆以上的逆车流
趴车，且并未被贴罚单，对此，我拍照留证（注：刻意不拍车牌，我也不愿其他人被罚
这种冤枉钱）并寄往罚单上的地址去申诉。半个月后，才陆续观察到有车因逆停被贴罚
单。
4.我在外州考的驾照，这次因为被罚，我去查阅宾州驾驶员手册（Driver Manua）中关

打火后就直接把前灯打开，熄火关灯。似乎从来没有只开parking light的时候。前两

1.你当时停车，是为了给别人治病（doctor's privilege）or你自己犯心脏病就诊or你
车上有心脏病病人，而且不停那个地方病人就死了；
2.你当时没有行为能力，例如你精神病发作，unable to comply，这在法律上也是好的

3.停车场附近100%的时间有人抢劫，而且专抢硬币，所以100%不可能有人可以拥有硬币
付费，这个在法律上叫做impossibility to comply，这个parking管理公司的内部memo
上曾经写过：这个地方不可能有人有足够硬币付款，我们主要靠拖车来赚钱；
4.这个parking管理公司没有权利在此地收费，例如当地城市的ordinances说凡是装

自己目前的考虑：
rearview camera对后面的东西一目了然
对rearview camera的一个concern是，人必须要看屏幕，而sensor会有声音。觉得平常
如果倒车的话比较好的还是眼观八方，毕竟摄像头的覆盖范围有限。用的人说说这是不
是个问题呢？
sensor前后都有，SUV大车，对车的尺寸概念不好，前面的sensor可能有用？（对了，
是不是后面的sensor在倒车时起作用？前面的sensor呢？）
不知道park sensor的敏感度如何？是不是倒得稍微快点反应会有滞后？另外park

8NA 和 3.8 Supercharged。3.8 Supercharged的那个trim叫Ultra。
第三代（07——）：上海通用产的中国版Park Avenue。基于澳洲Holden Caprice，后
驱。北美对应车型是Pontiac G8和Chevrolet Caprice。不知道GM会不会在北美恢复
Buick Park Avenue（估计可能性不大）。 |

发帖数: 141 | 48 以前开过的车， parking brake都是左脚踩的， 或者右手拉的。
前几天租车， 在camping ground里面以5mph的速度前进， 结果汽车总是一顿一顿地就
完全刹住了。 几次以后， 才发现旁边女儿在按那个parking brake的按钮。
当时刚刚从camping ground的office里面出来， 老婆就让女儿坐在了前排。
后来我想， 这要是高速上面80mph， 我们全家不就完蛋了？
这个parking brake做成按钮， 是不是有点不好？

发帖数: 21 | 49 上周六到纽约去，一时找不到地方停车，就停在了马路边上。回来发现了车窗上的
ticket。仔细研究了一下，发现上面的地址写错了，我停在xx Street, ticket 写了
xx Avenue，这两个地方隔了一个block。
另外一个证据是原来ticket上写的violation是"NO Parking Except Sunday 8am-6pm".
这个牌子在xx street是有的，我通过google streetview 发现在 xx avenue的牌子是
"no parking anytime”。
请问我是不是可以claim that I did not park at xx Avenue, 用地址和sign 对不上
来appeal ticket is defective? 谢谢！ |

ld不幸中彩。
上周五在Menlo Park一个比较大的路口，红灯右转时，没有停够时间，给拍了照和录像。
Menlo Park寄来一个叫courtesy notice的东西，给了几张照片,确实是ld开的我家小车
。notice强调这不是ticket，而是要我们先上网看录的视频，然后要我们去跟police约
谈看录像。notice强调不要找法庭，因为不是ticket，但也没说看完录像后怎么着。
大家遇过这种情况没？约谈了一般下场是啥？
