不了两页就被她抢过去玩了。
一岁以后小家伙慢慢对书中的内容发生了兴趣，大概13，4个月能坐下来听妈妈讲完一
本简单的书。现在19个月，能看稍复杂点的了。她感兴趣的书主要是两类，一种是上面
有baby的，一种是有小动物的。书大部分是从图书馆借的。自己买的英文书不超过5本
，但家里一般都有10本左右图书馆的书。中文有一个小书架的书是从国内带回来的。感
觉这么大的孩子很多书可以看了，当然不一定能理解多少。很多书从现在开始能看好几
年。
最早的一本是sesame street的Baby Says, 没有几页，也什么字也没什么情节，每页就
是一个baby和一个卡通人物在一起，还有鞋啊，袜啊，苹果啊之类小孩熟悉的东西。颜
色鲜艳，非常适合小小孩。 还有一本同名的也叫 Baby Says的，讲小baby怎么跟哥哥
玩。我女儿最喜欢学说里面的"ok, ok".
还有两本情节比较简单的童谣书Diddle, Diddle, Dumpling和 Little Bo-Peep。都是
讲baby生活中会发生的事情，也就几页长 |

对她来说可能就是一个玩具。跟peep还没联系起来的。
你可以借点书，书上会有一些问卷调查（我在我的贴子里提到的那本no-cry的书上就有
），你填一下看看你家娃处在哪个阶段，然后按照书里的方法试试。 |

言，最痛苦的就是还要potty train一次。后来上了MIT精华版搜帖子，又彻彻底底的被
shock了，没想到potty train是这么难啊。不管怎样，还是得train，眼看小人儿马上
就2岁3个月了，天气也暖和了起来，一跺脚，一咬牙，那就train吧。
所以刚好趁spring break的空档，把小人儿给potty train。结果却出乎意料的好，昨
天是spring break后第二天上课，去接她的时候还是穿早上去的裤子，老师说她都是自
己上厕所，也没有accident，这着实让我吃了一惊。虽然昨晚上又尿床了，但毕竟不可
能一下子到位，反复是很正常的。
先说说potty train之前的情况。我们家小人儿从小拉臭的时候就特征明显，站在那里
一动不动，脸憋得通红，所以每次看到这种情况，我就赶紧把她尿布脱掉，端到马桶上
让她拉。后来觉得端着太累了，就给她买了个小马桶，看到她有拉臭的迹象时，把她放
在小马桶上，一般都能拉出来，但也有很多时候拉到尿布里。后来等到大了一些，大约

看任何喜欢的都着迷了不用大人陪。
小时候最先看baby einstein，然后天线宝宝，然后dora, 然后米奇妙妙屋，都是中文
版的
再大了然后看pbs kids上的 curious george/sid the science kid/cat in the hat/
peep and the big wide world. 所有的都反复看了很多遍。
然后更大了更忙了其它兴趣多了时间少了突然几乎什么电视都不看了 |

这家主要是做breakfast，比如omelets,benedicts,crepes，不过量很大，当午饭晚饭
吃完全没有问题，事实上很多人也的确这么做。他家的omelets是我来北美四年中吃到
的最好吃的，但是crepes更好吃，crepes就是法式的薄饼加上培根，芝士和别的一些东
西，薄饼有点像国内的蛋饼，但是比蛋饼松软。东西也不贵，10刀一人够饱
推荐菜 Build Your Own Omelet，Monte Cristo Crepes，这家店分店不少，不过不同
的店菜单都不一样，吃过最好吃的还是 Evanston 这家，这个算芝加哥的吧？ |

rating的review，然后几乎这个价位都没法住了，不是有flood， staff不回应就是有
