这个可能根据每个房子的布局来决定。我的前院种着花的地方有好几块。沿着前墙有一
排花坛，里面种一些比较矮的shrubs，比如那个crimson queen maple（1m高），各种
颜色的rhododendron（1-1.5m），以及两株mistletoe（2m）等等。花坛外面是大概3-4
米宽的两块草地，一侧草地中间有一颗wiping cherry，草地外面又是一圈3米宽的
flower bed，这里面又是各种rhododendron，hosta，一些兰花，芍药(或者是牡丹？)
等等。树从左到右为rose of sheron (red heart), bloodgood maple(3-4m), 两颗对
称的类似arborvitae的树(但叶子是针状的)，dwarf apple。前院最前面是一片树林，
与屋门呼应的是一颗rose of sharon和海棠，一侧五、六米远处有一棵dogwood和另外
一颗海棠，中间有各种shrubs。
后院也种了很多，hosta, azalea, pieris, jasmine, dogwood，还有很多疯狂的迎春

在网站上输入你的zipcode和shade还是sun的话就有他家推荐的mix。 有写具体含哪些
草， 你可以再去google看喜不喜欢那些草。 当然你也可以买单一品种的，或者自己混。
我懒得research就直接用他家推荐的了。发现颜色看起来比大多数人家的都深。。。很

Kentucky Bluegrass, Perennial Ryegrass, Fine Fescues都是好草（虽然也没有多少
了），其它都是杂草。

astible和aster来得到春秋的颜色，如果考虑早春，加些bulbs。要是花坛较大，最外

1 如何区分是什么草?
最好的办法是到网上对照图片学习。一般你只要关系你所在位置的主要草种：
- 耐寒草种：KBG （Kentucky bluegrass), perennial ryegrass, tall fescue,
and fine fescue.
- 耐热耐旱草种：Bermudagrass, centipedegrass, St. Augustine and
zoysiagrass
上网搜这几种草对照你家草就容易搞明白了。
2 用什么药？
俺这儿只说post-emergent herbicides (注：耐寒草种only):
- Tenacity: 需要加NIS,可以杀很多种杂草，包括大家头痛的nutsedge, poa etc.此
外，该药不妨碍马上补/播新草。
- Weed B Gone: 大众产品，能杀的杂草品种少一些。大雨过后，几乎无效。
加了NIS后，药不容易被大雨洗掉。施用之时切记要让药混合均匀。
如要达到彻底清除杂草，两到三个星期后再施一次即可。注意最好选择凉爽、无风天气
操作。

there are at least two types of weedy grass in your lawn.
One of them is bluegrass which is annual grass and will die in May.
Another one is dallisgrass which is perennial and notorous.
