Alas, Persa didn’t make it to the finish line. On a scramble early in the
fourth quarter, Persa took a hit that indirectly affected his Achilles’
tendon. After consulting with the doctors and head coach Pat Fitzgerald,
Persa sat out the rest of the way. Kain Colter took over and, with the focus
on NU’s ground attack, led the Wildcats to a go-ahead score with 1:15 to
go that didn’t hold up.

Cameron Newton played Saturday -- and that was the story of the day. The

Mattison临场的play call能不能遏制住NW得分了。打了5场，防守除了对ND都没有经受
什么大的考验，但是对ND时暴露出很多问题，当时虽然侥幸赢下了，但是后面面对
Persa，Kirk这样以传见长，尤其要再配备个又高又大的WR就不一定还能侥幸了。我们
