请问大家personal statement最后真的放在申请材料里面吗？

有人说Petition Letter 是一根线，串起所有的档案材料。这其实是本末倒置。打个比
方，大家都发过paper。Petition Letter的地位就相当于paper的正文，而其它的档案
材料只能算作supporting information。这就是为什么DIY的朋友会花这么多时间在
Petition Letter上。这也是为什么多数律师都不会让你过目凝结他们心血的Petition
Letter。
常在这儿看到这样的贴，“大家快递呀，移民局正在放水……”这其实是一种损人不利
己的行为。这儿没人是USCIS里的余则成，没人知道移民官们在筹划着什么。有的只是
根据一两个案例的管中窥豹，不足为信。退一万步说，即使是真的，等到你几天后草草
递上材料时，风头可能早已变向了，受伤的只有你。

Petition Letter如何写？答案其实就在I-140的instructions里。下面以EB1B为例。
Petition Letter的目的是什么？就是证明你和你的公司够格。所以，Petition Letter
其实是一篇论文。你要证明你够格 AND 你的公司够格。
如何证明公司够格？I-140的instructions说得明白，你得证明下面三个分论点：
A. The company employs at least three full-time researchers.
B. The company has achieved documented accomplishments in an academic
field.
C. The company has the ability to pay the proffered wage.

officer去judge.
我只所以这么想，是有正反的例子。
我有一个朋友在我看来case不是很强，他找的律师就是一锅煮的petition letter,信中
从来没有说符合哪几项几项，只是笼统地说符合140 EB1B的条件。在他的信中，如果分
开来看，他的律师写了很多点，包括发表文章，获奖，judge,以及媒体报道。他的各项
都不强，比如Judge就是一个conference session chair; 媒体报道也就是其中的一个
报道中引用了他的一个观点提到了他的名字,文章真正的peer-view journal article
也不多，把他在学校图书馆网站上发表的文章算过去了，citation在petition letter
里根本就没有提，一句话都没有（估计他的citation也没有多少所以就干脆不提）。他
的case最后没有RFE就直接过了。我想如果他的petition letter一项一项分开写的话，
可能大部分都要RFE.

，发现主要问题是都没有展开说，而且缺乏那种“拔高”的语气，最后也没有totality
的总结分析。
我不知道老美是不是都这样，不过就我目前看过的EB1B/A 的sample petition letter
写的都比较慷慨激昂，就连我自己写的NIW petition letter读起来抖感觉很高大上。
我想问大家的是这种平淡的petition letter是不是需要我多花心思大概一下呢？ |

律师帮偶做了一套EB1B petition。为了保险，偶打算同时递交NIW。关于如何将EB1B
petition 转成 NIW，偶有几个问题：
1) 在整个Package中，只需修改 Petition Letter吗? 怎么改呢？只需该相关的法律条
款吗？还是要大改特改？
2) EB1B的推荐信不需修改，直接可以用吗？里面写的是“exceptional ability”,"
outstanding researcher", "top of her field" etc 哦。
3）现在的package中，是以律师的口吻称“Dr. xx”。自己写Petition Letter的话，
介绍自己的contribution, 是用"I", "my"呢，还是“Dr. xx”？
4) NIW 是否可以claim EB1B一样的items such as Significant Original Research
Contributions, Exceptional Authorship, Judge the Works of Other Scientists

The title of form 140 is "Immigration Petition for Alien Worker", part 3 is
"Information About the Person for Whom You are Filling", so very apparently
form 140 (or 130 or anything similiar) is "someone filed an immigration on

here are some tips for buying pants to petite girls(who are <= 162cm):
petite pants inseam is always 3 inch shorter than that of regular size pants
