却是火力全开，头两局就打爆了洋基的先发Pettitte.说实话Pettitte没有这么差，要
不然也不会此后征战了十几年，去年赛季还是2点几的ERA。而且Pettitte也算是老油条
了，经验绝对比实力强出一截，经常是一到季后赛就发飙。好象是生涯抓偷垒最多的投
手？当年洋基Derek Jeter, Andy Pettitte, Mariano Rivera和Jorge Posada （念厚
黑，而不是乔治，光从这个名字怎么念就可以考验一个人对入美国的熟悉程度）四个人

Pettitte is one over-rated pitcher, without his post-season wins
and that kind of run support he used to get, he's no difference
to those tie 2 pitchers.
however he really fits Yanks well during all these years, some
guys may be better pitcher than him but may never adjust themselves
to pitch well in Yank Stadium, thus I believe Yanks made a mistake

Yankees are still that 500 pound guriella. On paper, Twins are no match for
Yankees, especially without the bat of Justin Morneau. But this Yankees are
not last year's version. While the back end of the bullpen and offense are
still as good as it gets, the starting pitching is suspicious. If Andy
Pettitte is healthy, with him and CC, Yankees will be fine. But Pettitte's

可惜洋基的队友并没有为他们俩的告别献礼
夹在他们俩中间倒霉蛋的Robertson被敲出致胜安打（虽然ER算在Pettitte头上）
基本上宣判了洋基本赛季的结束
Pettitte后面应该还有一场先发
Rivera也许还有一两次救援的机会
但他们将不再重返洋基主场投球
42号球衣也随着Rivera的退役，永远在MLB退役 |

M's first two starters pitched good games, however, many
times it was the yankee players getting out themselves
rather than otherwise.
Overall, M's starting pitchers are not scary at all. I would
take Duque, Clemens, Pettitte, Neagle over the M's guys in a
heartbeat.
Hittingwise, both teams have some ability but both are not
overwelming. I don't know who has the advantage right now.
Game 3 is a very important game. Pettitte starts over
Clemens.

earliest memory of the yankees was 96 world series when pettitte was at the
mount in Game 5 and shut out the braves 1:0. i just have clear image in my
head. i was sitting in my little dorm room and watching my 15 inch TV. and
there was Pettitte..... it was at that moment, i became a yankees fan! (even
though i went to New England to go to school right after that!)

Pettitte. Believe me you guys will soon forget him after Brown and
Vazquez come to NYC.
I had Pettitte in my fantasy team last year. Having him was like
having a box of chocalte, you never knew what you're gonna get from

Consider Joe Torre believes in Pettitte that much but Pettitte leaves Yankee
just like that will be some impect on the team. If next year Joe can't bring
back another AL east champ and maybe world series champ, he will be next.
Just so sad to see old core player leaves like that. Not a good thing to this
team no matter what kind replacement they bring in.

根據WBC官網的報導，去年效力大都會隊的R.A. Dickey，將會接美國隊徵召參加經典賽
，蝴蝶球投的精采的R.A. Dickey，去年戰績20勝6敗、防禦率2.73，季後獲得國家聯盟
賽揚獎，不過他已在去年底被交易到藍鳥隊。
40歲左投Andy Pettitte去年在洋基戰績5勝4敗、防禦率2.87，巨人隊投手Ryan
Vogelsong去年戰績14勝9敗、防禦率3.37，還有國家聯盟救援王Craig Kimbrel去年戰

，所以响尾蛇占先，头两场是在凤凰城。第一场Schilling对阵洋基头牌Mike Mussina
。Schilling没让洋基的打手群有任何表现，而蛇队在有嗑药嫌疑的大棒Luis Gonzalez
(57 HR,142 RBI, .325 AVG)带领下爆了Mussina。全场洋基只得一分，响尾蛇9：1大
胜。
第二场是Johnson对阵Andy Pettitte。对，这位老弟今天还在洋基打球，上个赛季还老
树开花来着，而且是老当益壮，搞不清第几春了。当然也不是一直在洋基，中间逛了一
大圈算是叶落归根了。Pettitte比Mussina强不少，但是Johnson的表现对于洋基来说，
只能用毫无办法来形容。响尾蛇1：0小幅领先到第七局然后扩大战果，最后4：0再下一
城。
这时整个赛程只能用平淡无奇来形容，但是当时洋基如日中天，没人觉得会被这么轻易

me he is a better pitcher than Pettitte.
However, that is not the point. Some players are not treatable. They just
have done too much for your clubhouse and they deserve respect from ownership.

That is what I believe. He is a tough pitcher, without any
doubt, but playing for Yankees and having run supports like
he has had in years diminish the value of his W totals.
I think Yankees made some decent moves this off-season. Now they
have Mussina, Kevin Brown, Javier Vazquez, Jon Lieber and Wells. This
group, barring injury, is better than what RSOX has to offer, if
season starts today. My problem with Yankees is boss seems to |

Conclusion: if Brown is healthy then pitching didn't lose some.
Hitting/fielding:
Lost: Nick Johnson, Juan Rivera
Added: Sheffield
Conclusion: upgrade on both

那边dodgers刚打完和mets的七场决战，
伤兵满营疲惫不堪。
当年NL的MVP，dodgers的头号slugger kirt gibson受伤不能出场。
同时dodgers也无法按照原来的rotation让hershier投第一场。
首先出场主投的是二号starter tim belcher。
tim belcher还是个rookie,
不过LA向来有出top rookie的好习惯，
90年代曾经连续5年囊括rookie of the year,
92年是eric karros,后来依次是mike piazza,
raul mondesi, nomo, todd hollensworth。
belcher此人和giants的kurt reuter,
yankees的andy pettitte差不多，
没有dominating的投球，
ERA也很高，但是非常clutch,
总是能赢很多比赛，特别是关键的比赛。

not be better than Maddux, but Randy Johnson is just dominant.
I do not think the ban of performance enhancers necessarily benefit
the pitchers. Don't forget Roger Clemens did it, at least as we
know of.
Among the active pitchers, Pettitte and Halladay probably have the
best shot. I really hope doc can get there. |

TB才1个，而且状态正好,
所以昨天的比赛不是俩队实力真实对比。
我看今天的也悬，Thames居然踩到自己仍出的bat崴到ankle,内野的pena去给这个外野
替补当替补了。
Pettitte上次rotation就由于养伤歇了一次，不知道今天能不能恢复到他赛季初的表现
