there is no bid after pd's 2/1 bidding
for example, Axxxx Kxx KQx Ax
what can you bid after pd's 2c? no bid . 2nt is too weak, 3nt shows
18-19 pts, 2sp is too weak, and you will face pd's ugly 4h raise
if you bid 2h. so 1nt is the only bid indeed.

发帖数: 17771 | 19 6500/7600用LAN卡也可以做ATOM，但是IMPOSITION/DISPOSTION需要pfc来做，也就是如
果做最普通的EOMPLS(MAIN INTERFACE BASED)，那么这些个LAN卡也可以做UPLINK，但
是其他的比如SCALABLE EOMPLS这些，就做不了了，必须得用WAN卡来做UPLINK，有些
FEATURE甚至要求CE FACING LINECARD也是WAN卡。
这就是用LAN卡和WAN卡的本质区别 |

which means the MPLS imposition/disposition is done by the PFC. You don't
have to have the WAN card as the uplink.
I am not aware of NAT and EoMPLS co-existence issue, any link? |

Here it is. The TAC engineer confirmed that this affects both cat6500/7600.
There should have been a bug for cat6500 too.
So I believe I found the issue you are seeing with having NAT and MPLS

发帖数: 321 | 22 switch vs router 这种烂坑真是屡试不爽。其实在90年代末router根本是个贬义词。
记得当初一个3COM的SE对6500很鄙视:“别拿路由器和我们的L3 Switch一块比”。彼时
PFC还没有出来，6500上只能用MSM+MLS来实现三层功能。Switch时髦到各个厂家都要在
产品上标注Switch, 比如GSR里面那个S就是Switch/Switching，因为Switching表达了
硬件实现，高速，而Routing则是软件实现，低速。
但是如果看看ISO/OSI，压根就没有Switching的地位，L2功能实际是Bridging。
Switching的含义其实和Fowarding在本质上也没什么区别，是网络层次上的Bridging/
Routing等行为在设备中内化的动作。所以我们可以看到WAN Switching, LAN
Switching, Label Switching, L2/3/4/7 Switching（当然电话交换机这个Switch的滥

从模块化的角度而言，XE和ION的方法和结果都很接近，它们都采用了一个先进的Unix
Kernal，保留相当部分完整IOS code，所以可以直接从对应的IOS train集成进来，当
然bug和缺点也完整保留。
至于NAT的例子，如果是PD实现，就不太适合用于讨论XE和ION，因为在65上真正使用的
是PD那部分：PFC NAT。如果是PI部分，的确要走得比ION快一点，但是也就是50步和
100步而已。ION落后是因为已经不发展了。
在进一步的模块化中，会逐渐将很多松耦合部分从IOS里面迁移出来，但是如果不彻底
重写，与IOS还是藕断丝连。 |

好电源要主动pfc，有80plus认证，一般350w-500w足够了。一般都是单独买，机箱自带
的很次，只有高档机箱才会搭配很好的电源。
好主板一般都用固态电容和铁氧体电感，此外cpu周边电路的固态电容和电感数目和散
热器也能大概看出好坏。 |

电源一定要active pfc的，支持80plus的。pci-e最好有2个接口。如果机箱不经常移动
，可以考虑modular的。保修一定要长一点。$40以下500w以上找一找很多。
机箱除了钢板厚度要0.8mm SECC的以上，而且一定要能够快速拆装硬盘，而且硬盘最好
都配减震垫。对于要用独立显卡的，机箱长度还不能太小。电源下置的设计比较新，虽
然效果不一定好，但是我喜欢。如果现在仍旧没有设计cable management，也要好好掂
量一下。现在也许还要考虑一下是不是带usb 3.0前面板的，虽然我认为低价的不太可
能。
这两个钱其实没啥好省的。省出来后患无穷。 |
