Biochemistry. If you are PS major, you are just competing with students from
those pharmacy schools of several public universities (no offend to
brothers/sisters from state universities). If you are BC major, you have to
compete with students from all over US, like Harvard, Stanford, etc. In
industry, many people in biochemistry/biology areas are: Ph.D.s from top
schools/2-4 years of posdoc/10+ good journal publications; |

your own situation.
Regarding the pharmacy schools, what he meant was that there are not so many
pharmacy schools in U.S., and generally pharmaceutical companies have
preference for those graduates from some pharmacy schools. I'm sure you can
find out more info by google.
As for me, I just think it'll be a waste of time to give up your current
program since you've already been in it for quite a long time. Anyways, the

method，并用它来实施 microbial culture process development(and/or
fermentation optimization)方面的实验。算来，断断续续地找工也有大半年了，可是
，目前为止，也只有3个公司的面试（其中一个是大公司，虽然经过了2轮的phone
interview并onsite了，但这个公司最后还是决定要了另一个experienced candidate；
至于另外那两个面试，与我所做的东西不大吻合，所以一个拒了我，另一个至今还没下
文）。
我知道自己没有经验，即便是想要通过HR那一关，拿到phone interview都很困难的。
因此，好想找一个pharmaceutical or biotechnology方面的head hunter，来帮助自己
争取被面试的机会。不知哪位有知道的，能否推荐一下？谢谢！！！ |

pharmacy or applied pharmaceutics, you do not have to do postdoc. There are
always openings available in industry. The pay is not bad either. When you
work in industry, you are always the project leader (a lot of people said
the formulaor is the driver).

当初学医并非所愿,我一直认为自己更适合学物理或是工程。早已厌倦学医那种纯记忆
的活。出国前想转理工科，但考虑到局限于高中的数学水平（大一学了一学期高数，仅
局限于定积分...）,便早早放弃。于是就选了biophysics，来了才发现其实和biochem
没两样。上学期修NMR的课，到现在还是外行。这学期在实验室搞蛋白纯化，搞crystal
。平时修课仅停留在应付考试，完成任务。总觉得生物就一文科,加上就业钱途惨淡，
于是乎，想跳出生物这个火坑...
我数理功底还是不错的。最喜欢物理，其次数学，对化学的兴趣一般。本科的时候，化
学的课不少，无机，有机，分析都学过。有机的成绩最次，因为到最后实在是记不过来
了。
我想转那些quantitative的专业。综合考虑了自己的背景，觉得转phar风险小。最近密
切关注pharmaceutics,比较pk/pd、physicalchemical pharm和drug delivery，感性地
觉得pk/pd更适合我，建模、计算都还行。
