super Walmart，总是很忙，压力大，好多人都干不下去。上次我们新来的一个小姑娘
才做了一周就quit了，所以这种店hire人的机会多一些。
如果你能打听到哪几家pharmacy是busy store，像我现在就知道我们这一家，还有另一
家super center，甚至一家neibourhood小walmart都是很忙的，那家neibourhood居然每
天能fill 600多个处方耶！
如果你直接在网上填application呢，机会肯定很小。因为大部分人是因为认识内部的
人进来，pharmacy tech还算比较吃香的一个工种。因为只需要高中毕业，然后挣得钱
又比一般cashier和其他员工高。所以最好的办法是去店里面问哈。
还有时机，夏天算是淡季了，春季开始是忙季，openning多一些。
还有呢就是如果你没有认识谁，直接进pharmacy是有点小困难的，我之前考了PTCB，拿
到了national pharmacy techanician certificate，还是找不到工作，不过当时也不

发帖数: 52 | 8 hehe, 反正大部分人读phamD也是看中他的high paid, stable job, and large job
market.
而且美国在medical related 行业的保护很明显啊,一个州没多少学校有Pharmacy
Program,不会像其他专业一样是个学校就可以开.而且不像计算机,outsource可能性不
大. 所以基本的前景比较好预测,毕竟供求关系摆在那里.
当然了,retail的pharmacist是比较固定,可能没有什么challenge.不过很多人也正是看
中这一点,特别是女生,^_^,毕竟不是所有人都希望挑战性的工作的~~
个人觉得,如果比较ambitious,可能Pharmacy不是一个很好的选择;但是如果想要一个高
工资(100k+??),工作稳定,也有一定成就感的工作,Pharmacy确实不错.
当然,对于international student,问题估计就不是PharmD前景如何,关键还是要搞定学
费,身份,录取...这些问题了,呵呵,毕竟这也是美国对Pharmacy的一种保护~~

pharmacy techs who started working when they were in high school.
Usually if you never had any training, you can only work in retail
pharmacy. Hospital prefer people with tech school training, like
some of you said, a 9 months program is enough. A lot of retail pharmacy
techs will switch to hospital after they get some experience through working.
As what I know, pharmacy techs don't make much money, ~$10 probably, and yes

school to find a job as pharmacy tech. Even high school student can find a
tech job in pharmacy stores.
It pays very low, if you are not pharmacy student, starting pay can be as
low as ~$7 /hr (at least in my area). Hospital pays much better, but you
have to have 1-2 year pharmacy tech training or years of retail working
experience. |

degrees on pharmacy. the working pharmacists can study for their doctor
degrees while they work. For my experience, PRACTICING is more important
than studying in pharmacy school. It takes a while to know everything either
in retail setting or hospital clinic setting. I work for one of large
hospital pharmacy management companies which manage more 150 hospital

看到DRUG‘S TOPICS的一篇文章，1975年只有75 PHARMACY SCHOOL，而到2009年增加了
125 PHARMACY SCHOOL，美国有200多家PHARMACY SCHOOL，很多州PHARMACIST已经供大
于求了，我在HOSPITAL做，我已经有危机感了，我们医院正在通过JACO验证，还专门请
了PHARMACY MENAGEMENT的公司来做，现在医院招PHARMACIST都要求PHARM D和
RESIDENCE，象我们FPGEE要想立足HOSPITAL，压力还是很大的，我现在正在通过
ONCOLOGY PHARMACY CERTIFICAtE，在美国生活不容易，即便现在已经做上了
PHARMACIST也不要放松自己，我们州WALGREENS LAID OFF 35个PHARMACIST，但是，都
被其他CHAIN雇佣，如果几年以后PHARMACIST真过剩了，情况就不一样，你我都不希望
自己的努力白费吧。人无远虑必有近忧。 |

2003年8月19日踏上澳洲，高中两年还算顺当，那点低级数学就当塞牙缝了，英文嘛是
esl，稍微努
力点，考到40分以上也不难（读过vce的应该知道分数概念的吧），这样ENTER达到了99

就人有些飘飘然，觉得读书神马的不在话下。老子说的好：福兮祸之所倚。厄运从飘飘
然的感觉中开
始了。本科选了药剂学，也就是pharmacy，但是说给别人听的时候，好些人都认为我报
了农业科

PHARMACY TECH 工作机会很少，且要1-2年经验。好不容易联系了一个COSTCO PHARMACY
的TECH工作，华人PHARMACIST,很NICE,喜欢我去做，一开始就要了我的简历。他们也正
好缺一个上午的parttime。本来信心满满，几天前他告诉我主管说了经济不好现在不打
算招人，他说他也没办法。。。不知道还要等多久阿。虽然PHARMACIST说有指标还会打
电话给我的。我一直都有去COSTCO，还要在继续保持联系吗？
补充一个，修先修课的时候，曾有机会去医院药房做义工，应没空后来没去，现在回去都不让进了，真后悔。现在我要照顾小孩，LG工作很忙，没有老人帮忙，所以目前暂不打算读Pharmacy了。

pharmacy，处方就直接去那个pharmacy，难道你随便选一个pharmacy都跟你的医生有不
见得人的关系？high deductible保险在Obama care以后多了很多，即使非high
deductible的plan保费和自付部分都多了不少，要怪就要怪保险。所以我从来都选最贵
的医保，那些high deductible plan就是垃圾 |

发帖数: 458 | 29 今天刚发现pharmacy给我寄的注射用的progestron可能不对，box里面的paper work (
for insurance reimbursement purpose)是给另外一个patient的, different name,
different address, and different prescription. 当时头脑就晕了，怕打过的针都
错了。非但没起到保胎的作用，对宝宝会有伤害。仔细看了小药品上贴的标签是对的，
但既然标签是pharmacy配好药后贴的，谁知道有没有贴错？因为我都是带到OB诊所打的
，心里还抱着希望他们注射之前会把关，可我打电话去verify的时候，他们说他们不负
责，他们按小瓶上的说明打，至于里面是不是正确的药他们不知道也不负责，让我打电
话给pharmacy.当然这个事情也怪我大意了，不过当初刚收到药的时候没打算马上填
insurance的表所以那张纸没仔细看。Anyway, 心里觉得可能仅仅是那张纸装错了，打
电话去pharmacy时他们是这么一口咬定的，可问题是我没有办法，我的OB诊所说他们也
没有办法辨别真伪。所以我要求phar |

发帖数: 355 | 45 我现在有两个Ad,都是MS，一个是pharmacy economics,一个是accounting.
我本科是学pharmacy德，没有任何研究背景。
之所以在这两个专业之间犹豫，主要是发现pharmacy economics只有walgreen,
caremark招人，其他的公司没多少，工作地域性比较强，搬家怎么办？另外对这个专业
的工作前景不是很了解，是不是很多公司都需要？找工作要不要再上phd?周围都是
engineer，没人咨询。
Accounting可以1年半毕业，我有小baby,可以赶紧上完，搬家到哪里都有工作，以后照
顾家还可以part time.
我当然希望沿着要学的路走下去，主要是怕pharmacy economics不好找工作，限制性大
，有没有人了解？？？

你上面说的这个数据, 能给个link吗?
顺便说一下, 我在pharmacy这一行超过15年了. 中国,美国,自己经过的, 看过的, 听过
的, 也算不少了, 我说的现象都是majority. 看病找医生, 拿了药方找pharmacy拿药走
人.这是绝大多数人的普遍看法. 绝大多数人人都是drop the prescription, come
back 20 minutes later, pick up the medicine, then run away. 如果绝大多数人不
是这样, 为什么很多pharmacy都是有个drop box, 然后有个pick up area? 如果大多数
人不是这样,为什么有些pharmacy都设了"drive through"?
况且,我只是说: 在retail几乎就是"照方抓药". 我同意有些人会来问你一些问题. 但
是现实是大多数人不会理会你. |

PK, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacogy, Med chem, Toxicology and etc. are very basic
courses in PharmD curriculum, usually taught in the second year. But there are
also advanced courses in clinical pharmacy.
The following list is the typical courses in P3 year of the PharmD program.
I don't think any pharmacy school in China teaches these courses to Pharmacy
students. The chinese pharmacy students are good at Pharmaceutical Sciences

发帖数: 28 | 50 我快33了,小孩1岁多,身份已解决.现在想出去读点书,很希望读pharmacy,但是又怀疑是
否护士更实际.
因为如果我读护士,明年秋季入学,2011年毕业. 如果读药剂,把requirements准备好,顺
利的话要等到后年入学,2014年毕业.
读护士可以在本城读, 读药剂很有可能被其它城市的学校录取.
另外担心自己申请pharmacy没有什么优势, 因为我不是science的本科出身,
其次担心的是如果我读pharmacy, 那么将来连续7年整个家都靠老公一个人撑着, 4年
programe的学费全部要靠贷款, 老公的收入不高,工作也不稳定.如果读药剂,我和他将
要承受的压力是可想而知的.
读护士可以早毕业早赚钱, 但是我对护士工作真的没兴趣, 如果选择这一行, 纯粹是为
收入.
读药剂多苦3—4年, 但工作后每年比护士多赚4万, 而且我对pharmacy很感兴趣.
