上一章写过了本世纪初洋基红袜响尾蛇交相辉映的那个时代，现在终于开始轮到写我最
熟悉的这批当代牛投们了。。。SI曾评选过一个MLB在00-09年间的all-decade team，
结果深与我心有戚戚焉--五位rotation投手就是我上一章写过的那三位大牛Pedro，
Johnson，Schilling，再加上新生代的两位翘楚Halladay & Santana。的确，如果要写
这个世纪以来最好的投手们，我心里大概有一个六七个人的名单，其中Doc本来就是排
在第一位的，他是我心目中这个时代的顶尖投手的代表，是ace of the aces，而现在
他的去世更坚定了我要用专门的一章来dedicate给他的想法，就像其他爱他的人用
youtube上的tribute videos来纪念他一样，希望能够向这位在我熟悉棒球的年代最稳
定最有统治力最优秀的投手致以一份深深的景仰和敬意(当然，还有无尽的惋惜与伤痛)。

，第二轮更是一败涂地。今年宾州这两队比过三场，PHILLY三比一领先，但PENS满员后
，完全可以与PHILLY抗衡。最近的那场比赛，一直到最后一秒输了，而且在PHILLY主场
，如果拖到SHOOTOUT的话，PENS的赢面极大。两队还剩两场，正好为季后赛热身。
PENS最近连败两场，主要缺了LETANG，以及门将周转的问题。首轮遇劲敌PHILLY，是福
是祸难说。不过PHILLY永远是PITTSBURGH最大的敌人，这绝对是一场好戏。 |

to come. I cannot think of another CS/WS series that features
these many top of the rotation pitchers. If we think Halladay/
Oswalt/Hamels trio is good, for the month of September and
the postseason, the Giants trio (Lincecum/Cain/Sanchez) was
actually BETTER. They were the reason why Giants can overcome
a 7-game deficit and eventually won NLW. Not only this, the Giants
trio had a combined sub 2 ERA in season series against Phillies.

Now, Phillies losing streak has reached 8. I am very concerned. If anything,
this reminds a Phillies phan of 1964, when Phillies had a 6 1/2 lead with
12 games to play yet managed to have a colossal collapse and not to make
the playoffs. Another example was 2007 collapse of Mets. When losing
becomes regular, it is difficult to recover no matter how good the team
is.

this phillies team however is different. it has great pitching. no question
about it. as much as I want to stay low-key, I must admit that this Phillies
rotation is better than any other rotation in the last decade. but this
phillies team is not without shortcomings. it is way too prone to a long,
team-wide offense slump like the one that it is in right now. if there is

pitching强了以后棒子已经开始decline了,是比较重要的一个原因，还有一个原因是08
年phillies运气蛮好的，tampa bay异军突起把红袜养鸡给搞掉了，所以phillies在ws
里只需要对tampa bay ：) 但即使如此tampa bay那年仍然是上狗，phillies算是超水
平发挥吧，那年cole hamels太惊艳了
后来等其他牛pitcher加盟之后，hamels的状态已经一去不复返了，这就是所谓的stars
are not aligned啊。。。
下赛季建议你可以适当对phillies有所关注，反正也和football season以及eagles不
冲突呀 :)
你们的local台还没有开始hype phillies吗？我认为他们的rebuilding process已经差
不多了，已经准备要开始重新on the rise了，呵呵 |

It only takes two hours driving if you have an interview in New York.
Philly is close to Baltimore and DC. If you take the train(Amtrak), it is 1
hour from Philly to Baltimore and 1.5 hour from Philly to DC.

Damon is on 3rd. Phillies got to tip hat to JD for his game awareness.
The problem is really that when hitters do not chase Lidge's slider, he
cannot consistently throw fastball for strikes. His inability to pitch
from stretch also hurt the Phillies. But I doubht Phillies have any other
options -- from what I've read, swine flu hit Phillies hard. |
