I got obsessed with Liszt these days. LIsting to Leif Olf Andnes 's Liszt
recital everyday when analyzing my data. I especiallylike his Mephisto Waltz.
So dynamical and dancy. I am not sure what happened to me. I used to being
unable to enjoy Liszt ' s music. Is it becuase the pianist? I even really like
Dante Sonata and his other works. But Memphisto Waltz is indeed a favourite

Actually, playing in ensemble is extremely good practice. Because you have to
read not only your part, but also the other part of the piece. You have to use
both of ears and you eyes to catch up the music. It is demanding for pianist
because other instrument only have two parts. As a panist, you really have to
be good at sigh-reading to be able to catch up the learning speed of other
members of the ensemble. And the most difficult part is accompanying singers!

I just watched a movie on DVD "shine" (1996), a true life story about an
Australian pianist. I can't describe well how I feel, maybe simply the sheer
beauty of music and human spirit itself. I wonder why I didn't see this movie
any time earlier. Now I can't do anything but play my Rach 2&3 CD... If anyone

I recommend it.

The Grace Rainey Rogers Auditorium at the Metropolitan Museum of Art was
packed on Thursday night, including extra rows of stage seats, for a recital

Here’s a peculiar collaboration, perhaps the oddest of the season: Riccardo
Muti conducted the pianist Lang Lang in Beethoven’s “Emperor” Concerto
on Thursday evening at Avery Fisher Hall.
Mr. Muti performs with an Apollonian sense of proportion and precision, and
a dramatic flair offset by a devotion to textual propriety. Mr. Lang is a
Dionysian firebrand, whose crowd-pleasing style is rooted in speediness,
