Shorthills, Millburn 共一个高中,Shorthills是其中更好更贵的区, 房价在
Livingston 之上不少;
Plainsboro, Princeton那片通常指 Plainsboro/West Windsor (真正的Princeton 区
域很小), 这片的房子较新较便宜;但离 NYC 较远，另一个问题是老印太多.
北面的Tenafly, RIDGEWOOD 学区也很好,交通便利, 不过房价媲美Shorthills.
情况也是经常在变化中的:原先华人买房较热的 NORTH EDISON 现在已成为冷门,除
了学区下滑老印铺天盖地谁受的了;几年前 Livingston 房价应略高于
Berkeley Heights/New Providence ,现在已经明显低于这2个地方, Livingston房子现在
也不太好卖. Berkeley Heights/New Providence 是新兴的华人买房热点地区之一,
不过这块房源比较少，碰到地理位置好的很快就卖出去了.

为什么shorthills比millburn要贵呢?
这没什么为什么，shorthills 相比 millburn 就是高收入群更集中的区，高价房子
也比较多；millburn downtown 附近并非很有钱人住的地方，房子一般都比较老，占
地很小，所以感觉很挤，这块的房子一般工薪阶层也买得起。
livingston高中比plainsboro/west
windsor高中好还是坏啊?
这个我觉得差不多，不分伯仲。这2块地方亚裔比例都很高，其中 plainsboro/west
windsor 是中印平分秋色；livingston 老中为主，老印很少。
另外就小学和初中而言，这些 NJ TOP 25 高中所在的地区几乎都差不多。比如说
livingston 的小学和初中不在 millburn/shorthills 之下，但高中 millburn
还是高出一茬。
North Edison的高中比上面地区的都要差很多吗?
这个见仁见智了，排名和数据在那里摆着。这个区亚裔比例特别老印比例高得有点离谱
，另有相当比例的黑人。当然 North Edison 交通 |

是的。 如果算到单位面积上的价格，也许差不多。SHORTHILLS 有比较多的占地多，
房子大的豪宅。 SHORTHILLS 有自己的小学（当然也很好），中学以后和MILLBURN
是同一个学校。
如果单独比学校，我觉得差不多。比较居民水平和社区环境，berkeley heights更符合
高尚区的要求一些，当然 berkeley heights 的房价要比 plainsboro/west
windsor 高出一截。plainsboro/west windsor 的房子普遍较新；berkeley heights
的房子普遍较旧（这和 livingston, new providence 差不多，但比 millburn,
chatham 要新一些; livingston 因为是大 TOWN, 也有一些新房子），而且新房子数量很有限，即便不论价格，你有钱在这地方也难买到新房子。 |

全。各位补充。地址自己Google。
Princeton Jct（West Windsor ）和Plainsboro 附近只有两家中国餐馆：川妹子和大
千美食林，Sam's club附近有马来滨城和Super Star East Buffet还对付。川妹子附近
有一个World Buffet也勉强。
Plainsboro附近有一家美东超市，嫌东西少不新鲜就去大中华，离着稍微远一些。
家里有孩子或老人周日可去华夏中文学校，孩子学中文，老年人练练剑打打牌唱唱歌什
么的。
去教会的话，我知道好多人去若歌教会，大概三四十分钟路。
如果有什么爱好，跳舞，合唱，话剧，棋牌，球类就单独发帖子找吧，都有组织的。

從Princeton到Edison這段二十七號公路， 可隱身不少美食店家，
大家最熟悉的中式料理就不提了，
光是異國料理，
從烤魚大餐到炸雞小食，
從義印越泰西韓日到美等各式料理一應俱全，
也許你會想：
哪兒不是異國餐廳林立，
話是這麼說沒錯，
但如果把價位合理、
美味可口這兩個評選指標考慮進來，
齊集多國好料的二十七號公路確實有其傲人處。
第一次從Princeton出發，迢迢奔馳在二十七號公號上時，心裡就有種莫名的投契感。
當時的情景依然歷歷如昨，那是初秋的一個週日早晨，打算北上Edison的美東超市採買
日常所需的食材用品，燦燦亮亮的陽光嘩啦啦地灑將下來，將公路兩旁連綿一片的漸層
紅黃葉海烘托得更懾人心魂。如果對於公路也有所謂一見鍾情的話，那麼二十七號公路
之於我，再也沒有比這更好的形容。
之後在Plainsboro美東超市開張前，週日循二十七號公路北上的日用補給之旅，成為生
活裡的重要儀式，二十七號公路上冬之蕭瑟凋零、春之勃發盎然、夏之生氣昂揚、秋之
內斂風華，隨著四季變化的旅路風景，依時更迭地在我眼前上映。

plainsboro，网上查查的确很好的地方，可是感觉到学校必须开车（似乎不可能在1号
公路上骑自行车）。我们两人带着一个小孩只有一辆车。不知道从plainsboro到学校有
没有方便的公共交通，或者有没有其他合适的地方可以骑车到学校。由于有小孩，也希
望周围有个稍好点的中国人community。
感觉我的要求太高，希望样样俱全，哎，没办法，看着儿天天傻傻的笑，总想给他一个
好的环境。稍微贵一些都可以接受。也不知道学校的住房薄厚有多大的可能申请到。希
望有这方面消息的朋友能给我们指点迷津，再次感谢。
ps.感觉1号高速南边都不可能骑车上学，实在不行只好再考虑买一辆车，不过感觉用买
车的钱可以住更好更方便的地方了。 |

for the same money.
If you are not working in the city, you can also look at Montgomery twp, it
is even cheaper than w. windsor/plainsboro.

activies. You will meet a lot of Chinese in Plainsboro and West Windsor
library, which are not far from East Windsor. You can have your Mercer
county libary card stamped so you can check out books from Plainsboro
library, too (good Chinese collection of books).
My kids are too big for playdates, though...

indian population is double the size of chinese, according to Wikipedia. the
proportion of chinese population in west windsor is ranked 4th in the US.

live, I would recommend west windsor for it is perfectly proportioned with
Chinese people, unlike plainsboro which is populated with Indians. The
price range are like this:
Single family:
about 500K +, 4 beds, 2.5 bath, around 30 years old
Condo/townhouse:
about 400K+, 3 beds, 2.5 bath, around 20 to 30 years old.
East windsor does not have as good school district, the tax is not low
eather.

Plainsboro. Even in Plainsboro, there are only several communities have lots
of a3. Bit the houses in Montgomery is cheaper than wp. The disadvantage is
there is no train station on Montgomery. If you are not working in the city
Montgomery is better.
I live Montgomery and cover the great Princeton area. Let me know if you
have more qiestions |

手。。
大人也难过。
另外， West Windsor的火车站 park 车没问题。每天$5, 别太晚就行了。等permit要
四，五年。

就是EDISON 金门对面那家。已经3次了。
第一次付现金，小费另付了18%放在桌上，发现找回的零钱不对，问那个老板摸样的男
人。答曰，我给你四舍五入了，你要是非要的话，我可以给你。你妹的，差了将近2刀
，有这么四舍五入的吗?我当然要回来了。
第二次，付信用卡，说要加税。OK，但加完税又他妈给我四舍五入了。当时没注意，想
想几毛钱的事，就当多付的小费吧。
第三次，付现金，却给加了税。现金免税，这是中餐馆的规矩吧? 还是我少见多怪了?
几块钱的事，真是不爽。以后再也不去了。其实他家除了腊肉还行，其他也没啥好点的。

火车站。我曾经想租avalon的房子，那边早上去火车站的时间好点，但是过去看了下旁
边什么都没有，怕父母过来太闷了，只好去了plainsboro. 你要是不买房子可以租mews
at princeton junction,据说去车站很方便 |

1. 主要是房子。这边的购买力总体不如北边强。华人还有印度人喜欢买比较新的房子
。princeton新房少，好点的都上M, 不如到WWP买。反正学区都差不多。施一公当年买
的就在Plainsboro的一个新社区。其次Princeton是传统的富人区，有钱人挺多，白人
，普大有钱的也想住进来，房价很坚挺。不过现在华人逐年增多。今年一个M级的社区4
个交易的房子全被华人买走。所以现在不是亚裔，而是白人要担心边缘化。在
Plainsboro,白人已经是Minor, West Windsor也快了。
2. 据我所知，高中的有些AP是去普大上的。算是一个advantage.PHS上普大的比率比
WWP和Montegormy都高，但是很多学生是教工子女，所以本来就有优势。
5. Montegomery比较偏僻，交通不便，去NYC上班的人住那里通勤不方便。据说那里的
老师水平一般，主要是靠学生家里自己抓。 |

去纽约通勤还可以忍受可以承受的房子不是小黑的地方。白人总体上人口就是在萎缩，
非洲裔和拉美裔倒是人丁兴旺，但是能买得起West Windsor Plainsboro房子的不多。
关于大学录取，近二三十年斗争的结果就是，在美国大学录取中设定硬性的族裔录取比
例的非法的，但是潜在的逆向歧视还在。这就是为什么最近已近打到联邦最高法院的
Fisher v. University of Texas案其实对亚裔很重要。与其多高高在上指指点点，不
如更多的关注和支持中国人团结起来争取正当权益。 |
