)，其他都是平滑的。
常规来说，刷墙不是先刷底漆，再刷面漆吗？
对了，family room和楼上的一个卧室是墙纸，算是把墙纸揭掉了，但胶水怕没有弄干
净，想着刷primer。 |

于board的自重和支出长度的不同造成的。
anyway，发现把高的给打磨下去工作量比较大。有什么材料可以抹在低的那边，这样装
出的木地板受到的应力会小一些。不知道drywall plaster可不可以用？ |

钉到stud 上，但几率比较小，通不过inspection 的。
magnetic 对老式的plaster wall 是无效的。 |

发帖数: 1528 | 17 希望不会。 室内没风，整个吊盆估计也就5～6lbs 左右。我这窗正中上面没有ceiling
joist， the fixture 用3个螺钉+drywall anchors 固定在plaster ceiling 上，应
该能承受10lbs 以上。 掉下来最多就是砸坏counter top, 砸不到人。
但最好是能固定到 ceiling/floor joist 上, 这样就不要担心了。
Ikea 这个fixture 是挂窗帘用的。 |

泳池重要的是有没有crack， 包括池壁和deck。 Deck有大crack说明可能有Foundation
Movement， 有隐患。 其次是要测水管的密封， 有没有漏水。 这些修起来要花大钱
的，还有pool plaster是什么材质，那一年做的。 换个filter才几个钱？
General inspection可能做不了泳池的。 自己得看， 否则得找Pool service的人来做

找这个contractor是之前马桶底下漏水,找人来看了,说换个马桶就行了.
结果过了一个月,新马桶就松了,找回来打开看,
固定马桶的flange两边都给扯断了,水管工又要了笔钱给换了flange.
说上次你找我来换马桶,这个flange没要我换,
这边楼下邻居听到动静上来看,这哥们还给我背后来一刀,
详细解释虽然上面看不到水,但还是会流到他们家.
走的时候背后还给他讲上次这个flange就该换了,锈地太厉害了.
这下邻居不干了.堵着门让我修天花板,说我抠门不让他们换flange.
楼下湿的地方离马桶有两米多,楼层是水泥的,一般不会下去,
看楼下给我拍的他以前修那个地方的照片,那里有道裂纹,才会专门湿那片.
最后找的这个contractor给他们修了天花板,
我也确实是三天每天去盯着的,每次大概一个小时.
一方面是学习学习,一方面是防着邻居提各种不合理要求最后要我买单.
天花板水泥下面是一层plaster,没受任何影响,没有任何长霉的迹象,

看看你们去过几个？
排名第三的彼得堡的state hermitage museum，拍过电影russian ark，就记得金碧辉
煌，没看到什么画……
排第15的Yale Center for British Art我也常觉得比英国的画廊都好……小而精致，
各个时期和画家的代表作收集得很精，介绍也很精，看完印象很深。建筑也很宽敞明亮
，令人愉快，不过太亮是不是对画不好。
有个Doha的Museum of Islamic Art。希望有机会去。
台北故宫上榜，北京故宫没上，倒是北京的789工厂榜上有名。说最近有一个Duchamp
and/or/in China的展览，到六月中截止。听着挺有趣，不知道goldy去看过没。
第50名是波士顿的museum of bad art，听着很好玩，有人去过吗？

去年我们也在MILBURN，SCARSDALE和GREAT NECK看房。最后我们买了GREAT NECK。
GTREAT NECK的房子确实老一些，我的是１９２８年的，但是对我们来说GREAT NECK的
方便最重要，FLUSHING的美食也最有吸引力。
而且老房子很牢固，我们的装修师傅都说这些１９２８年的TUDOR连炸弹都炸不掉。里
面根本没有DRYWALL，完全是PLASTER，房顶是SLATE的，寿命超过１００－２００年。
没有中央空调，我们就装了分体式，很节能又安静。
房子主要是靠保养。保养得好，１００多年根本不算什么。如果造的CHEAP，又不保养
，５，６年新的房子问题就一大堆。
当然各人要求不一样。中国人很多都喜欢新房子。我到现在都不明白是为什么。。。不
过我们买了房子之后确实也装修了。把所有的厕所都换了。 |
