buildings,... the best possible GPS signal conditions.
V800 sometimes got data uploading problem. Its GPS is not quick in
acquiring satellites (faster than M400 a lot, but kind of
disappointing still). The most stupid thing is that both ask to stand
still for waiting satellites. For V800, I never really needed to
do so, but still worry what if signal conditions are less perfect.

It would seem that polar bears can be added to the lists of groups that
consider Al Gore irrelevant. You will recall that including polar bears on
endangered species lists has been an topic of much debate. I believe they
currently are listed as an endangered species because of the immanent threat
of global warming climate change. If only the polar bears were listening.

端口，一个是TE polarized, 另一个是 TM polarized。
你如果用附图中的polarization controller，每次做实验都要调到TE polarized，比
较麻烦。polarization states 在普通光纤中会漂移的。用PBS就没这个问题了，因为
它的两个输出端都是polarization maintaining fiber. |

必须是
polarized light。结果它的前端还是要加附图中的polarization controller。
你说的输入的是unpolarized light，也就是输入端的fiber 是普通光纤，不过我们的
器件手册并没说输出端口是一个是TE polarized, 另一个是 TM polarized。只说一个
是 S-polarized, 另一个是 P-polarized. |

乐的暑假，吃的好玩的好，让我
们坚定了给他找个伴的决心。
下午去county shelter看了一下，没有合适的，晚上就到petsmart看。结果发现了个黑
男猫，5个月，很active，非常
符合我们的要求 （鉴于Polar在6p家的超级精力旺盛的表现，确定的标准）。我其实不
是很喜欢黑色的猫，但仔细看的
时候，发现黑色的毛非常亮，再加上其他条件不错，当即申请，不到30分钟就作好所有
手续，买好沙盆食物回来了。
回来后，把猫连carrier放在客厅，Polar哈了一下。我们就赶紧把knight 放到书房。
小家伙没有Polar胆大，过了半天
才出来查探情况。Polar可能是被母老虎打怕了，结果钻到床底下去了。有时候出来一
下，在门口偷偷看。我打开门进
去，Polar远远瞧见knight,又一溜烟窜床下了。哎，这家伙表现的不行啊。

发帖数: 30 | 8 入手polar M400两周了，发个感想，想到哪说那，不分先后：
- 外形不错，不过对我的细手腕子来说稍稍嫌大
电量可以每周充一次：平均每周跑3次，每次40-50分钟，然后剩下的只是日常使用
，就是显示每天的activitiy完成情况。
以前没用过GPS手表，感觉信号一般，在圣地亚哥城里差不多要一分钟左右信号能到
100%。周围其实没什么太高层的建筑
跑完后的summary挺有意思，给你打分，帮你分析这次跑步是tempo以及相关的益处
可以在polar
flow（polar自己的网站）定制表面上显示的数据和各种运动的profile，我就设了
pace，心率和距离；最多可以设4个参数，不过看起太小。
polar sync可以同步数据，我在电脑上装了一个，同步数据到polar
flow上分析数据。网站上有个relive功能，是把你的route和map
沿途的照片合成一个短片，不管跑的怎么样，relive一下子感觉就比较高大上。
usb口有个橡胶盖子，防水防汗，比较实用

发帖数: 4354 | 9 GPS表还是准确性最重要，其他功能其实都不是很必要。比如Garmin 305,310xt,准确性
就很好（用的是SiRFstar的芯片）。
Garmin功能越做越多，但是准确性在220,620,Fenix 2这一批产品上非常的砸牌子，即
使改了firmware以后，准确性也就是可以接受。
实际上现在市场上准确性最好的GPS表还是Polar V800，就是贵了些，它用的是最好的
SiRFstar芯片。
Polar的软件目前可能有些问题，貌似最近Polar的软件全面改版了，或许过一段时间很
多问题会解决掉。Polar M400刚刚出来，象Garmin一样改改firmware说不定也会有不少
改进。
我现在开始对Garmin 920XT观望，如果GPS 芯片还是不如SiRFstar那可能Polar V800还
是更好的选择。 |

BAN的一半. 立刻买了一副. 回家一试, 好象是清楚不少.
没高兴两天, 今天好象又不清楚了. 仔细一研究, 镜头太花, 都是油. 终于明白了我以

本来想入Garmin 220,Polar M400之类的表，现在发现Garmin 220准确度还不如305，
Polar M400好像又容易丢信号，现在的中档表既然这么不给力，那不就只能上Polar
V800这个级别了嘛。
Garmin 920XT 有620的running dynamics功能，还有Garmin Swim的游泳功能，所以对
我现在比较有吸引力，但是如果GPS准确度不行那就一切休提了。
一个表可以用个4，5年，所以只要不常换，弄个好点的也不算过分啊。 |

。我们买的就是单独一个器件。
PBS的很常见的作用就是把unpolarized的光平均分成P-和S-polarized。
P，S分别表示平行和垂直方向的polarized light，平行和垂直相对于PMF的slow and
fast axis.应该一个是TE, 一个是TM吧？这点我不是特别可定，等哪个高人来解答 :)
或者，你先把unpolarized的光变成polarized后，加个controller转偏振态，看看SOA的增益情况，找最大值好了。 |

昨天翻书看到spin 1的粒子有三个polarizations
photon因为没有质量所以只有两个polarizations了在trasverse direction
后来看到spin 2的粒子有5个polariations
这个从自由度来看也是可以理解的(2s+1)
但是这5个polarizations在三维的空间里怎么实现

了我是想看极光，马上回了一句 ah Aurora！我瞬间想到对对就是aurora！真的是平时
不用的词，突然要用就会想不起来啊！而且当时脑中还浮现了张韶涵的“欧若拉”这首
歌！想说这么熟的词！怎么刚才就没有想到呐！
这次的polar light，第一次让我深深的感觉果然对于外国人而言，哪怕你一个个
的蹦单词他们都是能够理解意思的！ 我这蹦的单词都是错的，人都能理解我想表达的
意思。不过也可能由于地点的限定，然后又是light 也很容易猜到是极光。
突然想到有的同学是刚到美国的时候不记得番茄酱怎么说，于是只能跟麦当劳的员

not work if if your phone is placed on your back.”这个太夸张了，bt还要直线可
视。想问问有谁用过，是不是真要必须直线可视，如果真这样就不能把手机戴在手上了

二三十分钟之后才能正确显示心率 打湿了也没用

今天刚拿到 去试用了19mile 感觉读数还挺靠谱的 一上来就比较准确了（不知道是不
是因为是刚开始用？） 看起来它的电极面积比garmin的大许多 整个胸前都是
开始出现了一个小问题 polar这个strap上面 按扣的“母插头”边上的橡胶环太厚了
garmin的transmitter插上去稍微一动就弹出来了 于是拿剪刀把那圈橡胶减去了一层才
搞定
希望这个能用长久点 读数准 心情也愉快啊 |

用了几天，总的感觉还可以，意外的发现，红色也挺好，美学效果不比黑的差。
里面的软件思维和理念与GARMIN有些不一样。
设计理念也不一样，手表本身实际就是个监视器，平常完全可以作为一块普通手表用，
所有功能都外挂。
别的就不多说了，就说这水中心率表，好像这是所有类似产品中唯一Polar-RCX5能做到
的。
游泳池里试了一把，不成，心率带子绑在身上，蹬池壁时候产生的加速度会把心率器给
冲翻过来，然后继续往后冲，紧了好几次也不行，没几下就冲到腰上。
想在游泳池里用，最好穿全身的TriSuit才好用。
Openwater，心率器放在胶衣里面，完全没问题，昨天试了一下，第一次知道自己游泳
时候的心脏状态。
4公里1小时25分钟，平均心率132，比跑步低多了。

What shall the Hero do?
In the end, all fold to BTN on the flop. But, can the BTN's move viewed to

knight的性格跟Polar完全不一样。 Polar胆子大的要死，从来不知道怕，到新环境以
后都是大摇大摆的，根本不怕人，对声音也是只有兴趣。Knight比较胆小，放他一个人
在书房，他就喵喵叫，然后躲在carrier里面。只要开门，他就吓一跳。
这个有没有办法调教啊？真担心两只猫合不来, 虽然都很active. |
