tons of literatures by Su Wu-Pei and Schreiffer.
just search in your library.
There is one book on "Soliton and Polaron in Polymers" by Sun Xin in Fudan
University.
You can get this book from www.ssreader.com. |

1. conductivity is not only the function of mobility, but that of carrier
density.
2. The charge carriers in polymer are not free carrier. Some are polarons, some
are solitons. |

The book on conducting polymers in by Yu Lu, from Chinese academy of sciences.
The book is a collection of articles on solitons and polarons applications to
conducting polymers and by themselves.
That book is the only one which discusses theory and applications of
conducting polymers that I find. And it is pretty cheap,$20 for 900pp.
I think the future of polymer physics partly lies in conducting polymers. |

Polaron is the coupling state of PHONON and electron (or with exciton)
they are different. |
