配的。伴随我飞跃半个地球来到美国。一晃很多年过去了。今天带着新买的MOSCOT
Lemtosh镜框（最近开始饭这个小众牌子，走中年文艺范）。递上我眼科医生去年的视
力检查处方（2年有效期）。说明来意后，我问有没有High Index 1.74 lense (网上说
是最薄、最轻的那种材质)？ 柜台说costco提供最高级是High index 1.67 lease with
anti-scracth, anti-reflection and protection 100% UV . 他们没有1.74 lense（
有点小失望）。考虑到我的度数不是很高，也将就了。大妈输入处方数据，测量瞳孔距
离，输入电脑，前后10分钟。$105镜片+$18手续费（因为不是在costco买的镜框）。5
个工作日打电话取件。真便宜。其他连锁眼镜店，真黑心啊。镜框+镜片，随便一副，
怎么也要500刀吧。

长期以来一直潜水，但在本版得到很多有用的信息。sorry, 我没有什么包子。但就申
请过程中的几个细节，提供个人的见解，回馈本版。
I-140申请:
1.推荐人是否需要是牛人？
我们律师的建议是：信的内容比是否来自牛人更重要。
2.是否需要雇佣律师?
版上很多人是DIY成功的，但我们请了律师。个人经验：律师可以更容易提交
objective PL， 在一些细节上面给我们提供了很多的帮助，比如，一些奖是否需要
claim,有些地方是subjective or objective polish..... subjective polish 容
易导致rfe. 是否请律师取决于个人的情况？ 如果比较着急拿卡，请好的律师可以提
高申请成功率。 律师费是不便宜，但如果不能在一定的时间拿到卡，可能个人损失比
律师非还高。
3.等推荐信需要多长时间？
如果推荐人常时间(2-3weeks)的不回email, 最好move on.

发帖数: 547 | 13 写推荐信可真是需要智商。有个推荐人我刚开始都觉得没啥好些的，后来居然还写了挺
多，我自己看起来挺像样。
三封独立的，三封非独立的。这些人看起来都挺热心，导师一个小时之内就回了email
， 有个大牛在sabatical，也是几个小时之内回了email，有一个中国教授，周日早上
还回了信。另外两个也是memorial day 的晚上回的。其中有个大牛我简直不敢相信他
居然很热情地给我回了email，我好几年没跟他联系了，而且他现在是美国政府高官，
居然还记得我这只小蚂蚁。
我这只小蚂蚁鼓足了腮帮子，壮足了胆，使劲的吹啊！根据不同的人，吹的程度有所不
同，因为怕人家接受不了。花了5天的时间打好了草稿，然后就是一遍遍的polish,
polish，直到今天，我觉得我再看下去就要呕吐了，就把最后的两封都发出去了。
因为有律师帮忙，对我来讲，最难的就是推荐信这一关了。希望这六个人都会给我签字
。我在信里说了，他们可以随意的改草稿，删节，改写都没有问题。
像我这样拼命工作的人如果拿不到绿卡，这美国我也不想待了。 |

Irish也是被逼出来的，早年的Irish移民干的是最menial的工作，在NYC是最底层的，
被称作是white slave, 没人看得起。现在可不一样了，现在还有很多人是Irish-
wannabe, 此一时彼一时。
觉得种族在这里还是起了很大的因素，老中（老亚）就是吃了这个亏。洛大使再出人投
地，看起来还是很突兀，sigh 。。。

我试着在网上找装permeate pump的manual，但是只是找到了如何安装pump到

它们的结构有点不一样。不知道哪里有安装permeate
pump到 watts premier净水器的manual？

sophisticated designs. Acol has its own advantages and features comparing
with 2/1. It's unfair to compare old acol with modern systems.
The thing I'm not sure is whether Acol system is good starting point for
beginner. However, I know many Polish guys starting from Polish Club which
is very artificial. That means the starting point may not be so important.
My suggestion is "Just try it!"

问题是体积也只剩一半了，你原来一杯米cook那么多，现在每粒米变成半粒了，
那只能cook一半，为了达到原来那个量，你得用两杯米，最后淀粉都是一样的。
之所以要洗，不是洗淀粉，
而是正宗日本sushi rice是用云母（滑石）来polish的，
这个东西据说有致癌的危险，所以要洗干净。
不过美国的米估计不用这个polish，所以也不用洗那么干净，
外面卖的sushi肯定不怎么洗米的，而且美国的白米都是enrich的，
好不容易弄点营养进去，都给洗了！ |

就是个摸在手里的把玩的枪，还得必须是stainless steel的
其实是广告一下擦车轮子的Mothers Mag and Aluminum Wheel Polish,
用这东西polish了几个小时， stainless steel都可以照镜子了，非常smooth. |

发帖数: 5133 | 42 M&P新枪扳机不爽，主要是trigger bar, firing pin block, sear, striker leg等都
不算精加工，打磨光滑靠自己多打。
普通M&P，扳机感觉(主要是最后击发)改进最大的还是那个Apex hard sear，也非常容
易换，只需要一个1/8" roll pin punch，同样在Brownells上可以一同买了：

当然还需要榔头啦，呵呵，最好还有几个软木快，破布等垫着就成了。
sear block pin敲出来，sear block拿出一半让sear pin露出来。sear pin是松的，一
顶就出来了，换上hard sear再原样装回就成了。当心sear下面的弹簧弹出来，顺便看
看是不是大号的sear plunge/sear spring。
firing pin block边角笔直而不圆滑，扳机杆推动时比较涩，但一旦顶上去后也就好了

发帖数: 4534 | 47 I had it for 75 free shipping a while back. Seems like a good deal, but
stock grip sucks ass, the protruding part on the grip isn't ergonomic at all
; the stock rattles a lot, probably due to commercial stock on military
buffer or they just suck. Trigger guard cuts finger.
Even though I can fix most of them and just tolerate the rest, if I was
given the choice I would go with magpul.
Before you assemble the trigger, polish the shit out of the sear with metal
polish and leave no residue behind. |
