Yea, I want to practice on highway 101, cuz it's just like local not real
highway. And I think it's more fun for the person who would like to help me

I already practised around the test area, but I think I need more practice
during the weekend. And it's illegal to drive by myself.

其实是有很多问题的。做这个排名的恐怕也知道，不过也很难找到
更好的，客观的其它数据源去排名。所以也可以理解。版上的其它
父母或吃瓜群众就不一定知道这些数据的问题，以为这个排名是金
科玉律那就大错特错了。
比如说NMSC Semifinalist。实际上10年纪的一个PSAT考试，按照各州
的成绩Percentile, 取top 1% ~ 2%. 这里面的学问是:
1. 大学录取时实际上是不看PSAT的。参与PSAT考试不外乎两个目的,
要么就是当一个practise,要么就是奔着这个 NMSC排名去的。
2. 各高中的PSAT成绩好坏，一方面确实是学生水平，另一方面是看

大的Renting 公司，便宜的，贵的，都喜欢耍耍诡计，让你气死！那点钱出了也算了，就是咽不

UW和Swedish的医生水平应该高很多，从你的例子也可以得出Bellevue imaging center的
Radiologist有多么不靠谱，为什么这么不靠谱的医生还在逍遥。。。。。
我其实对美国的医疗体系深感失望：
1. Radiologist只看片子，不看病人，MRI不结合临床表现，或者不结合活检结果其实
根本得不出什么结论，不知道美国为什么还要让Radiologist单纯的读片子, 这么多误
读，为什么这个Practise就不能改变呢？中国的医生说，他们必须要把片子和临床表现
放在一起，才能分析。
2. 99% pontina glioma这么严重的病，医生就可以随便给你refer一个很烂的医院，根
本就没考虑给refer一个高级一些的医院，这种草菅人命的行为也没人管管
3. 其实我的case有很多误诊和不当操作，真的很想投诉，我问过一个医生朋友，这个
朋友说，如果没造成什么严重后果，比如自杀，那估计没啥可告的。我就奇怪了, 20几
天体重掉了15磅以上都不是严重后果吗？在美国，当医生还挺safe的，不靠谱的医生也

瘤造成的，事实上有脸面瘫和左脑的病灶两个是coincidence,不是因果关系，这一点DR
Zhang就分析对了。另外印度神经外科医生说只有两种可能性也是错的，第三种可能性
是我给他看了文章他才知道，说明他没遇到过这样的案例，不见多识广，
overlake tumor board的treatment应该代表overlake 肿瘤方面的集体智慧：六周以后
再做核磁比对也是错的，或者说不是最好的方案，他们没有考虑病人在六周的时候会如
何受煎熬，而两周的时候就已经能从片子上看出结论了，而且很可能一周就可以看到区
别的（Dr Zhang 建议一周以后重做MRI）
radioligist说99%是tumor没根据，家庭医生从redioligist的结论出发，对病人说还有
1年expected life, 不treat可能3个月，这种处理方法我不知道是不是normal

2003年8月12日，到今天正好来美7周年。对我来说，5年感觉挺短，10年就觉得很长，
数字7么，不长不短的，写点东西好像正好。
7年如果看做一个可以移动的框，放在人生的初始，是从襁褓到走进小学，再往后挪挪
，是从小姑娘变成大姑娘，再后面就是从离家一天都想家的宅女到只身去北京上学。而
现在的这个框是在异国他乡度过的22岁到29岁这段人生最美丽的时光。
在美国这7年，是一场游历，一场冒险，一场人生观的洗礼。从平凡到努力追求光环，

转这篇文章不仅仅因为作者的经历超级励志，也不仅仅因为她所获得的成就，毕竟成功
有多个标准，而励志的前提是理智。这儿有两个更重要的原因：作者七年的奋斗经历，
对那些希望改变自己处境的人提供了很多技术上的帮助，如果你想改变，但是你不知道
怎么做，如何做，也许在这篇文章中，你能得到一点启发。
当然，本文对于外出留学的同学，意义更大，作者多次提到自己是如何改变固
有的思维方式适应美国的环境，但不变的是坚韧追求自己的目标。这实际上正暗合了美
国这片国土上从来就有的单枪匹马的个人奋斗精神。美国的文化尊崇这种精神，养育这
种精神，也因为这种精神而强大。
最后，作者的经历还告诉了我一件我自以为早就知道的事儿：“你的勇气属于
你自己，只要你愿意，你完全可以只依靠自己，就能提供永不枯竭的勇气。”但我发现
我身边大多数人，包括我自己，都是假知道，而去这么做的很少。这位女留学生，却做
到了。

given some graphs to calculate the revenue, profit, etc. It's much like GMAT
MATH. You can practise before taking the test. It's very difficult to finish
all the quantative questions in 35 mins, so no need to be panic if you can't
finish. Someone only finished 18 also got the onsite.
For the personality test, there's not much you can do to prepare. Just choose
whatever
fits you.

听力：http://www.businessenglishpod.com/ 上面有很多很好的英语听力材料，在线听也可以，下载放在mp3里听也很好。还有interview的听力，我后来找工作的时候，每次面试前都听一段，学一个新句子，当天就用。
阅读：一个叫Sidney Sheldon的作家，是国际知名畅销书作家，曾经是作品翻译语言最
多的作家，他的书情节很紧凑，小时候看过的《假若明天来临》就是出自他的笔下。
另外一个阅读的好材料是报纸，有一段时间我每天晚上吃完饭之后在家里大声读报纸。
不过后来没有坚持下来。
8月初，我的英语课上完的时候，我的语言已经从刚来的6级到了8级，我的老师说，政
府资助的英语课程已经没有适合我的了，建议我要么去上college，要么去找工作。
秋季开学的课程已经来不及了，于是我就找了JVS，一方面参加他们的mentorship，一
方面让他们帮我找practise firm（一下简称PF），另一方面请他们帮我练习找工技巧。
这样，在上完课的第三天，我开始了在world service cargo做类似coop的工作，专业 |

without a tutor. most ppl will take about 10~30 hrs in order to pass the
road test. i know mantou in this board takes 10 hrs to learn and passed road
test on the first time. cool guy! |
