这大概是我最后一个室友了，美国老头
最后几个月不好找人，随便凑合了，只要对方跟我share rent，我也不挑了
不过我一直都对这个老头比较小心翼翼，因为我一直感觉他有点奇怪。。。。
首先交代一下他的背景，大概50岁，终身未婚，美国本科毕业然后一直工作，跟我是比
较近的专业，他那个年代毕业的人，这个专业pay得应该挺不错的，他也说he once
made a big amount of money，可是他挺倒霉的，40岁后得了cancer，然后就不能工作
了，一直治疗中，现在终于治好了，不过这么些年花了他很多钱，没有家人，房子还有
别的值钱的资产都因为治病卖掉了。然后他现在健康已经恢复了，可以开始找工作了，
可是因为要用钱的地方很多，他不能再去租特别贵的公寓了，只能跟我这样的穷学生一

MA gun law is a joke.Even pepper spray needs FID to buy.
FID only allows you to buy but not carry firearm. LTC for non-citizen is
possible but need some hard work.
Pistol combat shooting needs a LOT of practise. See Youtube for IDPA, USDPA
and such.
Home defense using shotgun is good idea and no need for LTC. And trap
shooting is a good practise using shotgun.
Rifle is less useful in self-def.

过10句。俺也不知道为啥，估计还是俺在各方面都有点自卑。
毕业后，有幸和我们班一金牌一起拿到offer，来了这里，因为同学的关系，自然亲切
点，接触多了，发现牛人其实也挺平易近人的，关心和烦恼的问题也和俺差不多，平时
聊天啊啥的俺就能学到很多东西。一般来说，学习好的人，都是真的聪明人（俺好像身
边没见过听过所谓的死读书就能成牛人的）。牛人在见识啊，想法上面也会牛一点，这
也不光是从金牌身上悟到的，俺从TC身上学到了更多。所以觉得大学4年，正好是人生
观，世界观差不多定型的时候，身边牛人又一茬茬的，大好机会都浪费了。
另外，和异性交往，也是门学问，需要practise，practise越少越没经验越不会relax
的social，这也是个问题。 |

Match的结果终于尘埃落定，周1等电邮的时候非常紧张，因为成败就在此了，虽然一直
告诉自己，今年只是热热身，成败都可以接受，但到真的揭晓的时候，还是很紧张，毕
竟一旦卷入其中就身不由己，何况自己也还是有所付出。到周4等match program的时候
虽然也有点紧张，但程度已经大大减少，1个原因是毕竟match上才是头等大事，去哪里
尚在其次，还有1个原因是心理还是有所准备了，虽然希望留在home school，但直觉告
诉我恐怕是非常困难了，在我rank list上第二位的program应该就是我要去的地方，果
不其然。经过几天的等待，发现果然是要搬家了。

间，搞得我不得不改我和其他practise partner的时间 ，练习的时候他也很不认真，

mile (haven't got the 2nd set mounting bracket for my rear light yet, so
had to go home before it got dark) ride at soy sauce pace. I am still

明天晚上那小男孩要来我们家玩，小妞已经兴奋了好几天了。真不明白她在学校里天天
见，还这么如隔三秋的。
今天晚上她很兴奋地说：“妈妈，我已经让ERIC明天来的时候穿衬衣和领带，我要穿上
那条黑色亮晶晶的裙子，这样我们就可以PRACTISE WEDDING了。”
我犹豫了一下，说：“宝贝，婚礼大都穿白色的DRESS的，你看谁穿黑色的婚纱？”
小妞很失望地说：“那我没有白色的DRESS怎么办？” 她眼珠转了两圈，问：“那什么
时候穿黑色的呢？”
我很不情愿地照实说：“葬礼。”
她想了一下，说：
“好吧，那我们就PRACTISE 葬礼吧。” |
