i have used some of them to analyze promoter region of
genes, and compare the prediction with data obtained
from mapping experiments.
my impression is that some of them worked pretty

program（miranda，pita）但是结果都很大不同，而且用script run出来的和网页上现
成的也不一样。自己跑script 给出来的结果很多，不知道什么是合适的cut off。我主
要想比较sister species的difference，所以不想强调conservation。
不知道有没有大侠有没有经验，指点我一下，我没有任何mirna的经验，只是在狂读
paper。
还有就是想看gonad tissues的miRNA profile，好结合起来predict这几个基因是ovary
/testis-specific express) 上可能的functional targets。没有找到现成的文章，找
到了一些sra上的illumina data，modencode的还有没有发表文章吧。我只是相看看表
达水平，试了miRExpress，最后一步怎么都不没法让它work，其它的程序好像看起来很

, but some miRNAs were down regulated. Now I want to look into the signal
pathway associated with these miRNAs. Is such software for predicting theie
targets signal pathway available? Who would like to refer me some software
have such function(input several miRNAs and then get the network chart)?

I just checked the link, they have all the scientific Nobel predictions.
Anyway, I think the chemistry is at least OK, but the physics is just too
superficial. If the three guys could win the prize, they would have done it
already. There seems to be no way to award those almost metaphysical physicists
Personally I think the chemistry prize would much probably go to those doing
synthesis, especially natural product.

论才能 make prediction / testable hypothesis，方法只是帮助理论进行演绎推导，
举个例子，譬如两种不同的理论， realism 和 liberalism， 对于国家的 preference
有不同的理论假设，方法的意义在于，基于这样的假设，可以帮助理论推导出一系列的
结果，而这些结果在没有 rigorous 的方法支持下是无法获得的，但是这样的结果是否
正确，很大程度上还是你的理论决定的。。。
简单的说就是你通过理论输入设定和初始条件，formal theory 可以帮助你获得结果，
并这个获得的过程在逻辑上是非常严密的，至于结果是否有意义，还是和你的理论关系
更大一些 。。。。 |

predict the rate perfectly. But persistance positive biase means something
wrong.
HW is affine term structure models. If you use 1 factor HW, it doesn't
capture non parallel shift of the term structure. Hence the TS you forecase
could only show paralell movement, which result in persistance positive or
nagative bias.
If you use 2 factor models, it can allow non parallel shift. But there are
many format of 2 factor models |

simply run regression of vol index to lag variables. MIDAS might be an
option. |

Actually, if you have some vol index that you want to predict, then it is a
standard supervised machine learning problem. You can simply throw the data to
a support vector machine solver with RKB.
You can do feature selection and model selection as well.
