I am going to law school this fall, and I am an engineer.
DAXIAs, can you recommend any books for me to read b4 school starts, or
recommend something MUST do b4 school starts.
A little bit nervous about this career change.

JAG Corps Officer(?). |

Is Law School a Losing Game?
By DAVID SEGAL
IF there is ever a class in how to remain calm while trapped beneath $250,
000 in loans, Michael Wallerstein ought to teach it.
Here he is, sitting one afternoon at a restaurant on the Upper East Side of
Manhattan, a tall, sandy-haired, 27-year-old radiating a kind of surfer-dude
serenity. His secret, if that’s the right word, is to pretty much ignore
all the calls and lett...

Come on, CUNY's Public Interest Law ranked No. 1
by both US News and PreLaw Magazine.
CUNY's college admission acceptance ratio varies
between 20%-30% for different campuses. That's
pretty competitive, and well above campuses in
SUNY system, actually comparable to Ivy League. |

If you are preparing for law school, reading the textbooks shouldn't hurt, if
you have time.
Books by the famous judges: Holmes, Cardozo, and Hand, should be good for
laying the foundation for legal study. //blush---I myself haven't read any.
I think talking to a prelaw adviser in a university should help your inquiry. |

c**d 发帖数: 3888 | 11 I read Law 101, One L, and Law School Confidential before law school. Knowing what I know now, if I could do it all over again, I wouldn't have done anything before law school started.
Now that I've been out of law school for a while, the only thing I wish I did before law school was to take bar/bri lectures. Unfortunately, I don't think bar/bri offers any prelaw programs. |

get burnt out so quickly.
Physical exercise is important. A healthy body is the most important thing
you need.
