USCIS responded that "your request requires additional review and the

, a note of "I-407 advised" on your passport. But usually your green card
will not be taken away for the first time.
However you should prepare material that proving your prolonged stay outside
of the US is due to something beyond your control. Maybe a letter from your
institution saying you are in sabbatical and a letter from the institution

longer, theoretically you can file N-400. But USCIS can easily prolong your
N400 pending process for a few more months, and if you continue to live
outside of US most of the time, your physical residence time will become not
enough so they will deny you with this easy legal reason. (because your
earliest 30 months start to roll out of the windows). |
